I may have to try this if it works as a detox...... SuziFederal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2. Guest guest
You know, I must have missed a post or two. What does corn silk do for you? Pearlmoon - Dr. Ian Shillington herbal remedies Tuesday, July 22, 2003 1:24 PM Re: [herbal remedies] Third time's the charm...UTI question It does not matter if the cornsilk is brown or green IF you are making a tea. If you are eating it raw, you want to eat it "green" = more enzymes and it tastes better. When making a tea, you are only interested in the biochemical properties of the silk which are there whether it is green or brown. One of the favorite tricks of Valorie and me, is to go into a healthfood store and talk to the produce manager and ask him if we can chuck his corn for him and keep the silk. They always look at us as if we have three heads, kinda smirk and say, "go ahead" while thinking we are nuts. We always look back at him as if he has three heads, kinda smirk, go ahead and do it, and walk outa th' store with a pound or three of awesome organic corn silk totally FREE of Charge. Great game!!! And even if some of the store bought commercial organic stuff is OK, and even though the capsules work to some degree, wait till you try some of the fresh stuff (brown or green = no difference really) right off the cob. Phew!!!!!!!! The stuff is awesome. As a matter of fact, go easy with it to begin with as it might turn on a major detox and you could be pissing flames if you're not careful ;o) LOL Love, Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington
Guest guest
Thanks to everyone for their suggestions!!!!! I am feeling much improved today over what I felt like yesterday. Angel, I got some unsweetened cranberry juice...WHEW I wasn't prepared for how tart it was gonna be...ya know those beer commercials about 'bitter beer face' where they get old men without their dentures in to pucker up really bad? That's what I looked like today at dinner. ;} I really appreciate all your thoughts! love, Stevie

Guest guest
lol... Yeap, it's just like outside beauty, you know the old adage (or what ever they call it): It's h--- being beautiful (on the inside, too) sometimes...! Unsweetened cranberry juice is what I call McNasty! And, I superbly LOVE cranberry sauce...right by itself at that... Hope you feel top notch soon, Angel All incoming and outgoing scanned with NAV for both our protection.
