Guest guest
Linda. I looked at this info. It seems quite beneficial for a child with seizures. Wish I had seen it a few years ago. My daughter had cerebral palsy and had massive seizures almost on a daily basis. (She passed away last year, at the age of 14) Reading into it, the article said it does not work as well for adults, as they do not make ketones as easily as children. Also, I am diabetic, and this would probably put me over the edge. Thank you for the info. I hope it helps someone who has a child with seizures and/or nerve damage. > > I wonder if you have heard of the high fat diet > ,certain fats like > macadamia nuts and butter, cream (so many ounces of > food you can have).that some people > are doing for epilepsy. It covers the myelin sheath > again. This might help you > somewhat.I know it is hard to follow ,my neice has > two daughters with epilepsy > and this diet did help them with the seizures. They > had to go into hospital to > get on this diet and then mom had to weigh their > food.It would be worth it to > have a normal life again, wouldn't it?Maybe after a > year or two on this diet > you wouldn't have to be so strict on it. > Good luck . > Linda in Raleigh N.C. >
