I understand that Lauren was communicating with Doc directly, and somehow sent the reply to the list, instead of to Doc. So that's how we got to know about it. The Barley contains lots of nutrients a baby needs, so that is the basis of this formula. You don't add sugar, you add Karo Syrup - this is for the carbohydrate content for the baby.
