Hi CheriB,

You didn't miss any posts. I understand that Lauren was communicating with Doc directly, and somehow sent the reply to the list, instead of to Doc. So that's how we got to know about it.

The Barley contains lots of nutrients a baby needs, so that is the basis of this formula. You don't add sugar, you add Karo Syrup - this is for the carbohydrate content for the baby. You can reduce the Karo content in the formula if you wish; the Barley water and the milk should stay as per the formula.

love,

Lisa

[herbal remedies] Re: Barley Formula - why?

I guess I missed an earlier post that I can't find, and I'm interestedin this thread ...Why would barley formula be used rather than just milk? And why addthe sugar? I'm pregnant for the first time and I'm very curious about what otherpeople use and why. Thanks,CheriBherbal remedies , "Lauren Bastow" <lbastow@s...>wrote:> Babies> > > > Lynn [lompicolynn] > Thursday, August 14, 2003 10:11 AM> herbal remedies > Re: [herbal remedies] RE: Barley Formula> > > What is the Barley formula used for?> > Lynn> in CA.>
