Guest guest
I'm not sure I understand the part about the sun and your eyes, but because of the condition of the Earth's atmosphere and global warming the sun's effects on the eyes are more harmful now depleting your supply of rhodopsin- a chemical that is responsible for maintaining night vision. The phytonutrients contained in the berry Bilberry called anthocyanins increase your rhodopsin- just as they do in carrots! So- get some bilberries or take them as a supplement. Bilberries also increase blood circulation to the retina- the large nerve of the eye. There is very exciting research showing improvement to eyesight and the halting of cataract's progression. Raw juicing is great for the eyes and for your over all well being.( My Green Power juicer was a big investment when I went raw 4 yrs ago- but I absolutely adore it. champions are less expensive and also quite good). This one is great for the liver and the eyes- and it is my favorite blend because it also tastes so good : Use only organic fruit- wash don't peel: Sunshine Juice 5 carrots 1/2 beet 1 small apple- cored a small slice of ginger (optional) a squeeze of lemon juice (optional) sprig of parsley (optional) Also a tea decoction made of fresh parsley and burdock rt. is helpful in supporting the liver and kidneys. Two of my favorite herbs! Easy Raw Carrot Soup 3 cups fresh carrot juice 1 large avocado handful of alfalfa sprouts cut into thirds small sprig of parsley or cilantro leaves 1. make carrot juice. 2. Cut avocado in half. 3. Place carrot juice and avocado in blender, and blend until smooth. 4. Put sprouts and parsley on top of the soup. 5. Note: Any combination of vegetable juice can be used to make soup. Raw Spinach Soup 2 cups tomatoes, or cucumber, or a mix of both 1 cup water- or young thai coconut water 4 cups spinach 1 medium avocado 1 inch fresh ginger- or to taste 1 tsp. sea salt 1 tsp. mellow miso or nama shoyu or braggs 1 lemon, juice of 2 Tbs. raw apple cider vinegar 2 Tbs. virgin cold pressed olive oil Blend all ingredients. The eyes are sometimes an indication of problems with the liver/kidneys. Perhaps it's time to focus on cleansing and supporting/protecting the liver. I'm really guessing as I am not familiar with the condition you described or what your over all health is like. Good ol chamomile tea bags are soothing compresses. So are slices of cucumbers. I'm not sure what is at the source of your eye condition at all. Is the tissue yellow- as in jaundice?. I would try a compress or some diluted hydrosol in distilled water. Be sure to buy only the purest and freshest hydrosol. This below comes from Jeanne Rose ( I also like Myrtle and lavender combined): SOME TREATMENTS AND HYDROSOLS THAT CAN BE USED. Hydrosols can be applied directly to the eye as a compress after eye surgery or for irritated eyes. For either of these conditions use the following formula. Formula for the Eyes 1 oz. Myrtle hydrosol 3 oz water irritated eyes 1 oz. Chamomile hydrosol 3 oz water sore or tired eyes 1 oz. Lavender hydrosol 3 oz water conjunctivitis Use distilled water for dilution And don't forget when treating the eyes it is very important to sterilize everything, all containers and utensils.
