Guest guest
Sounds like an abcess to me. Do you have fever? I would boost your immune system like crazy. Perhaps some of Doc's formulas- TT?. I know I'd be using lot's of GARLIC, echinacea, C and maybe Oregano eo. You could do a warm/hot compress or sitz or regular bath w/ 10 drops total tea tree, lavender and chamomile (roman only) eos. Here's a thought..cabbage leaf- just like for a breast infection! I bet it would work great. I would simply apply directly or iron the leaf slightly (cover w/ towel fist) I'd keep it on the area somehow and replace as it gets too soft. I would try this if it were me. I personally would not be too concerned about lancing it. Following I'd apply a good organic tea tree, lavender and chamomile or corsican helichrysum in a small amount of oil till it healed. Here is what I found in a search (below)....it's on a variety of sites. I don't like to use wintergreen or birch too often for a variety of reasons. It can be a real miracle for pain but- I save it for emergencies with infrequent application and care- it does not clear well from the liver like other essential oils and I have HepCV. If you do use it use only the best quality since it is most often adulterated and remember to keep out of reach of children- can be deadly if large amount if swallowed. The sweet " root beer " smell can attract curiosity in children. Abcess / Boils * Apply cayenne extract, wintergreen oil, or a strong comfrey root tea to the boil or abcess. This will help bring the stigma to a head as well as aid the drying and mending process. * Use these herbs or extract form: Mix one part lobelia with three parts mullein in a little warm water. Soak a clean cloth into the mixture and apply it to the sore to bring it to a head. Then puncture the wound lightly with a sterile needle. Wash gently. Apply garlic oil to prevent infection. When the redness has subsided apply vitamin E oil twice daily to aid healing. * Drink comfrey root tea to speed healing action. Lecithin, zinc, and B-complex supplements taken daily will help prevent and remedy such sores. Elizabeth
Guest guest
Moonkitty...I am sure to spell this wrong..but it sounds as if it could be the Bartholimews gland. I know i spelled it wrong now...but it is a gland around the labia area...i've seen some really painfull looking glands that were huge. I think you should go to the dr's right away...this area isn't something to wait on...good luck to you Karly
Guest guest
I would try the total drawing powder and make a poultice... (in the files under Dr Ian Shillington)... Sill <thesills wrote: A while back I posted a question about a swollen gland (or swollen something or another) in my bikini area. Well, it has not gone away but is now very large and painful. It has spread mostly to the labia and is about an inch long and 1/2 inch wide. Extremely painful most of the time. I have tried hot/cold therapy several times in hopes of bringing it to some kind of head. It did try to drain a little last week, but very little. It was yellowish in color. It is getting to the point where I'm ready to ask my doctor about it, but I know that she will probably want to lance it. I have seen what can happen to such things after lancing. Months for them to close up and heal (if they ever do). Also, I have recently started breaking out in 'hot spots' and hives in various parts of my body. Most of the time it is on my breasts. I have tried eliminating soap from my laundry to no avail. Currently, I am taking panther piss and that is all. I am very desperate to find relief for the pain in my vaginal area without having to have it lanced by a doctor. Please help me if you can. Blessed Be! Guest guest
Hey Kitty, add some epsom and/or sea salt to your hot bath. Make yourself some Total Tonic and start taking it right away. You also need the echinacea formula so e-mail doc or get a good one from your health food store. Pack the area with ice, protecting direct skin contact with a small towel for 15 mins. Go immediately to the hot salted bath. I had an infection like this when I was pregnant with Joey. Janet - Sill Herbal Remedies Saturday, August 16, 2003 10:46 PM [herbal remedies] Ugh! I bet it would work great. >> Do you think that cabbage from the store would work even though it is not organicly grown? It is not really in season here (too hot) so the local health food stores don't carry it. It's pretty sad really. Our local health food stores all have a terrible selection of produce. I used to go to one in Alabama that had a huge produce room. I would drive the 45 minutes to get there every week just so I could get my veggies. I really miss that place! Blessed Be! Guest guest
If it were me I would try it! It is SO effective for engorged and infected breasts. Organic is always nicer but I would use the other- sure. It'll cost you about a buck to find out if it helps. Do you have fever? Also, are you cleansing? Taking tons of garlic? TT? I would work on it simply Yes, but from inside AND out. Keep us posted about what helps! Elizabeth ------------------------------ <<Here's a thought..cabbage leaf- just like for a breast infection! Guest guest
I did answer you... if you are taking for a problem you can take a couple dropperfuls every 3-4 hours... SuziSill <thesills wrote: Do you have fever? Also, are you cleansing? Taking tons of garlic? TT? No fever that I can detect (no thermometer in the house), but I have been having a number of hot flashes. I'm not cleansing at this time. I do eat quite a bit of garlic, mostly in my cooking and I just made a batch of TT, though I had to make it without the horseradish. I figured that the other things would have enough benefit to be worth the effort until I can find some horseradish to make another batch. I have not taken it yet since I just made it this morning. I'm still waiting for answers on how much to take. Blessed Be! MtMoonKitty __ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1.
