Guest guest
Elizebeth, The changing foods thing does take time, in my case alot of time, and I am nowhere near to what Tyrie eats. I also started by eliminating dairy, milk first. I didn't know what I would eat with my oats every morning so I tried Soy and loved it! Than I quit soy a year later because it isn't as good as it is marketed, than I quit carbs/oats and the weight started coming off. I knew I had to juice vegis, I had been reading so much good about it. My mom bought me a juicer yeaaarrrrssss ago so I pulled it out and bought vegis, dumped them in the sink w/ vinegar and H2O and now I juice every morning. But now........my vegies aren't organic soooo, that is on my next step to acheiving even better health. I have found w/ juicing good green vegis and eliminating carbohydrates (for the most part) that my food cravings for the bad stuff is gone and I am not as hungry and need less food. I do like to occassionally indulge in the " bad stuff " but at this point it just becomes a reminder as to why I don't do it daily anymore. I finished a cleanse a couple weeks ago and that was a huge next step I acheived - I now am more aware than ever the impact food has on my gutts and how hard they work. I only could know this by completely cleaning them out. The cleaner your system the clearer the communication w/ it and your head become. I made california rolls for the third time last night, they take practice. But super yummy and filling. You don't have to start with the goal of changing all now, baby steps, and you will get closer, and you don't have to elimiate all the bad. Some folks have, and it's easy for them to eat strictly, and some like myself will take alot longer to acheive that if ever. Change is all relative to how you cope with it. The cleaner your body gets, the better you will feel, and the easier it will become to walk that road every day, and the additional (unknown) benefits will start to grow. Health is a passion, a hobbie and it's rewards are pleasant surprises and endless.
