I do not know what I stepped in on but since it came to me I am going to put my 2 cents in. It is really simple,abortion is murder. Simple. I don't agree that it should be used as a form of birth control like it seems to be for a lot of women out there. I know that it hurts the woman more than just physically and must be torture to have to endure. I can't help but think and be old fashioned, sorry but if we all waited until we were married would this be as much of a problem. Okay now why is that so hard? I did it! I know times have changed,but its sad dont you think. wouldn't all of you parents want your kids to wait til they were married? I know its not like that anymore,but I wish it was. I am not trying to start an issue or push my beliefs on any of you,but it just seems so simple if times were simpler. I am a christian but I am not going to force that issue on any of you,that's not what this board is about. I cant help but care about the babies and the moms that this happens to. It has to be so hard on them afterwards. thanks for letting me have my say.love Janet

you are right it is sick. I do agree with you there. I am sorry that I wish the world could be a better place. If that makes me naive or idealistic well I am sorry.I know people are going to have sex before they are married. I KNOW THAT! I can't help but want a better way seeing the way the world is now. It is sad that people use abortions as birth control. do you think that is right? I do not. I agree that people should be using birth control definitely. I had 3 kids and was all done with having children,but got remarried and my new husband really wanted a child. I was blessed with my 4th. Right before I got pregnant I was given 2 vaccinations and became very ill.The pregnancy was hard and now I am disabled from the shots. I am in pain 24/7 and can barely walk. I know my husband wanted more kids but I can barely take care of her,so while I was having a tumour removed on my ovary I had my tubes tied. I am a christian and people may say I was wrong not to just let God be in control,but I was scared and afraid of trying to take care of any more kids. I realize that is why women have abortions because they are afraid. Fear does a lot to us. Believe me I have been around for awhile and I am not naive or idealistic the way you think I am. I truly think that if we could get our children to wait til they were married MOST parents would be happy with that. Becoming disabled from those shots has ruined my life. I have changed and become someone I did not want to be because of the pain. I am sorry If I offended anyone because of what I wrote. I know the world will never never be that way,but it isnt going to stop me from wanting my kids to wait and be ready emotionally and spiritually to have sex. Sorry to burst your bubble, but you are idealistic and naive. It was

never " that way " . People didn't wait until they were married to have

sex much more than they do now; when a pregnancy happened, they either

had an abortion in some way, or hid the pregnant girl away (she went

to visit Aunt Nancy's farm a couple states away), made her and the

baby absolute outcasts for the rest of their lives, or forced the kids

to get married and pretended that the baby was born prematurely. - or

who knows how many times the baby was just KILLED as soon as it was

born?!

 

You will never be able to change the fact that people are going to

have sex when they're not married. That's the first big hurdle some

people will never overcome. I repeat: you will never be able to change

the fact that people are going to have sex when they're not married.

Who is it that suffers most when an unwanted pregancy happens? The

baby, of course. Look at all these unwanted babies who grew up knowing

they're not wanted, sometimes *violently (physically and/or

emotionally) shown that they're not wanted.

 

Then I keep reading that goverment programs will pay for Viagra but

not for contraceptives. That is just plain SICK.
