Guest guest
IBUPROFEN LINKED TO HEART RISK http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2005/ibuprofen.html There's more evidence that drugs designed to reduce inflammation and pain may in fact contribute to heart ailments. A study links common, over-the-counter pain relievers such as ibuprofen with an increased risk of heart attack. It's the latest development in a series of revelations that began last September, when Merck withdrew its prescription pain reliever Vioxx http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/vioxx.html from the market after its use in clinical trials raised concerns about heart disease. Other so-called COX-2 inhibitor drugs, including Celebrex and Bextra, are also suspected of increasing heart risks http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2005/ibuprofen.html.
