Hello Everyone,

I went to court today armed with all kinds of info on the toxicity of the antibiotics and meds that they want my Bobby Doggy on and info on allergies and treatments that I have done. etc.. I (being a hardened criminal LOL) didn't know that this was just an arraignment hearing and I would not be allowed to present anything just plead guilty or not. The prosecutor dropped my abuse charge down from a class A to a class B or something like that which means they can only fine me not put me in jail. I of course pleaded not guilty. So now I have to go to court in Oct on these charges.

I am going to be consulting with a lawyer as I believe they had no right to take custody of my dog. The court custody order said that custody was granted only for as long as was necessary to determine that Bobby was not a menace to people and was comfortable with his condition. On the vets report that they are using to charge me, (that was written of Day 7 of his 10 day quarantine) the vet stated"in spite of his condition he appears comfortable" Hence after 10 days of confinement they should have been able to release him

I have kept him on the vets meds until today. While he had shown some improvement on these while under custody he is now getting worse and constantly scratching. I have been giving him daily baths with a coconut soap with oatmeal and chamomile. He is not eating his expensive prescription food. So as of today I am taking him off the meds (a sad fact that I came across in my research is that it can take up to a year to clean these out of his system). While doing research, I also came across a herbal treatment protocol from a herbalist in Australia for Bobby's condition and I think I am going to give this a try.

Thank you all for your thoughts and well wishes.

Cheryl
