Guest guest
A friend of the family was for about three years having serious problems with his digestion, his appetite and his bowels. He frequently suffered from loose bowels and nausea, was losing weight... He went to both mainstream doctors and alternative doctors, but no one could tell what it was. A chiropractor suggested he send stool specimens to a lab in California where they could check for parasites. The test came back positive, and our friend got on some anti-parasite medication that appeared to work for a while, but then lost its effectiveness. I jokingly suggested to him that he go to someplace like the Mayo Clinic or elsewhere with a " great reputation " because they'd be able to make a diagnosis and make it stick BECAUSE of their reputation. Well, sad to say, he finally did go to the Mayo Clinic, where they decided he had cancer of the bile duct, and where they slammed him with huge amounts of both chemotherapy and radiation, then followed them up with exploratory surgery to see if the cancer was still there! I saw him yesterday for the first time in about 3 months. He looked ghastly---appauling---like some concentration camp survivor. He had lost half his body weight; his face was thin, tight and drawn, eyes bulging from his head; his pant legs looked as if they were covering sticks instead of legs, and he was quite jaundiced. Supposedly the cancer is gone...and now he is waiting around for a liver transplant...... Way to go Mayo! Nice job! Best wishes, Elliot
