Guest guest
CAYENNE - KEEP THE FIRE BURNING! Bera Dordoni, N.D More Health Benefits Than Any Other Herb http://www.bastis.org/articles/cayenne.shtml Herbs. There are thousands of them -- all with medicinal properties - - but not all alike nor necessarily equal. Dr. John Christopher, the famous master herbalist who worked extensively with cayenne pepper, claimed: " In 35 years of practice . . . I have never lost one heart- attack patient. If they are still breathing, I [give] them a cup of cayenne tea (a teaspoon of cayenne in a cup of hot water), and within minutes they are up and around. This is one of the fastest- acting aids for the heart, because it feeds that heart immediately. Most hearts suffer from malnutrition because of processed food, but [cayenne is] a good, powerful dose of real food, and has brought people in time after time. . . Everyone should know how great [cayenne] is, because a heart attack can come to your friends or loved ones any time -- and even yourself. " According to Dr. Christopher, cayenne taken internally as a tea will stop you from bleeding -- even from a severe cut or gunshot wound -- in most cases by the time you can count to ten. Cayenne has a natural, powerful, equalizing effect on blood-pressure. When it hits your bloodstream, which it does immediately, it adjusts your blood pressure from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet. Thus, the high pressure at the wound site is alleviated and clotting can start at once. Having more health benefits than any other single food or herb on earth, cayenne is truly a gift to humanity. Over 3,000 scientific studies listed in the National Library of Medicine support the use of cayenne in preventing and reversing many common health ailments. All Cayenne Is Not Created Equally BUT... not all cayenne pepper is the same! There are many varieties of peppers, each having a different use and level of heat. Heat (or " Scoville " ) units are determined by the quantity of chemicals in the cayenne and its resins. The higher the level, the hotter the cayenne pepper -- and the hotter the pepper, the stronger and more effective a healer it is. Cayenne peppers range from 0 to 300,000 heat units. The spice- cabinet variety averages 5,000 heat units. Paprika has no heat and is rated 0 heat units. Jalapeño peppers are between 50,000 and 80,000 heat units; Serrano peppers are approximately 100,000 heat units; African Bird Peppers average 200,000 heat units and Mexican habañeros are between 250,000 and 300,000 heat units. I make my ultra-hot cayenne tincture from 300,000-heat-unit organic habanero peppers! I'm not sadistic... I just know that it increases your blood flow almost instantly, bringing in new oxygen to your body's vital organs, muscles, and tissues, and, at the same time, carrying away toxic wastes from these same areas in its return flow. Cayenne helps us maintain our " river of life, " also known as the bloodstream. A stagnated " river of life " leads to blockages, which lead to oxygen starvation, which leads to organ dysfunction and disease. Cayenne pepper works like a drain opener that blasts through the blockages, delivering oxygenated blood into sick or dying organs faster than any other medicine or herb can get there. My Virtual " White Light " About ten years ago, I met Dick Quinn, author of Left for Dead. He described for me his out-of-body experience he'd had when he " died " from a massive heart attack, but was then revived. With fully blocked arteries, he was given a choice: multiple-bypass surgery or death. Unfortunately, the surgery failed; several weeks later, Dick was still dying a slow, painful death. This time, his doctors only gave him one choice: another bypass. He refused. If it hadn't worked the first time, why should he submit again? His cracked ribs still hadn't healed from the brutal invasive procedure; his pain was excruciating; and he didn't see how a repeat of the same surgery could improve his condition. Since Dick had refused surgery and the drugs weren't working, his doctors were at a loss and unceremoniously discharged him to fight it out on his own. Dick went home to die -- and for several weeks, that's how it looked. His condition worsened daily until it took every ounce of his strength just to get to the bathroom. He could barely catch his breath and his skin was gray.... his body was getting no oxygen. He was cold and miserable all the time. One day he decided to go to a local park, hoping that the sun might warm him a bit. Well, either an angel or serendipity interceded at that point; in any event, a woman sitting in the park abruptly walked over and butted into Dick's life, telling him that he should use cayenne pepper for his condition. After politely asking her to leave him alone, as he was busy dying, Dick went home and forgot about her for a few weeks. Feeling worse than ever, he remembered the encounter and, in desperation, he decided to either kill himself with this pepper, or to see what this busybody was talking about. He emptied a couple of heart-medication capsules and refilled them with cayenne from his spice cabinet. The results were miraculous -- and you can read the fascinating details in his book, Left for Dead. Dick had this heart attack at age 42; at 58, you could still find him on his world-wide, 300-day-a-year lecture circuit, sharing the life-saving benefits of cayenne. Encouraged by Dick's story and how wonderful he looked when I met him -- close to ten years after he had " died, " I decided to follow his lead and use cayenne pepper with some of my clients. By then, I was already taking it myself and making my own tincture, as I had learned in my herbal preparations classes. It gave me far better energy than a cup of coffee, much better mental clarity, and was kinder to my body since it didn't wipe out my adrenal glands with harmful stimulants. It didn't take me long to discover cayenne's many uses; after all, most health problems start with a lack of circulation triggered by anything from clogging foods, medications, lack of exercise, to depression, etc. But Don't Take My Word For It... Although I am not a veterinarian, many of my clients have animal companions who also need help. One young pug was brought to me with sudden deafness and dizziness, according to her " father. " Pugs tend to have difficulty breathing and she had just had sinus surgery followed by the usual antibiotics. Soon she was walking into walls. She didn't respond to any noises whatsoever -- not even her dinner bell. I suspected she was having a bad reaction to the antibiotics and recommended that we pour a teaspoon of cayenne tincture down her throat to blast her nerves back into action. You want to talk about a pug with bugged-out eyes! This poor little girl took it like a trooper: she rubbed her face all over the floor, wriggled on her back and rubbed at her ears with her paws for close to five minutes. Then her 'dad' called to her. She jumped up and ran to him! To this day, she's jumping, snorting, and racing to her food bowl whenever she's called. A Family Matter... My sister Beth, whom I adore, had emergency surgery for adhesions that were strangulating her colon after an earlier surgical procedure. She was hospitalized for two weeks, then just before she was to be discharged, her 16-inch " stem-to-stern " incision became dangerously infected. Allopathic doctors are now acknowledging that anyone in a weakened state is susceptible to the unlimited infections floating around a hospital. Anyway, Beth wanted out, signed a release, agreeing to retain the services of a home nurse and I took her home to take care of her in my own way. The nurse came and instructed me to change her incision dressing twice a day. She said to get ready for a long healing process and left us alone. I jokingly told Beth that if I could heavily drug her, I'd love to pour cayenne into her open incision. She surprised me by telling me to go for it, without the drugs. Well I prayed that I wasn't about to kill my beloved sister, took a deep terrified breath, poured four ounces of 300,000-heat-unit habañero tincture right into the wound, took her hand and waited for the screams. It was so hot, one drop made your eyes bug out when it hit your tongue, but she was silent. I almost fainted, but Beth felt no pain. Well, I got busy with other necessities: putting bottles of filtered water within reach in every corner of the house, juicing carrots, making nourishing soup, etc. An hour later I found her " in heat " on the couch; the incision was now " on fire. " Another hour passed; the fire....and the pain... was gone. Next morning the nurse returned to check on the infection and my dressing change technique and she was shocked! Overnight the oozing had stopped and the incision had started closing... the infection was disappearing. Cayenne pepper gets serious when it goes to work, never wasting any time! Another Story... Inga showed up at my office two years ago with a gushing index finger after accidentally cutting off its tip with a miter saw five hours earlier. Although bleeding non-stop, she had been turned away by the local hospital as she had no insurance. Inga was extremely pale and dizzy when she arrived. I grabbed her finger and stuck it in a jar of powdered cayenne made from African Bird peppers (approx. 200,000 heat units). At first the pain was pretty intense, but no worse than it had been the last few hours. Pulling her finger out of the jar with cayenne powder clinging to the open wound, I wrapped it. The bleeding had stopped, as cayenne had cauterized the wound. Below is a copy of the letter she wrote to me: Dear Dr. Bera: I just wanted to drop you a note to thank you for healing my index finger on my left hand. As you might recall, on August 19, 1998 at 3:00pm I came to your office with an emergency. I had accidentally touched the blade of the mitre saw while it was in operation. It only took this split second contact with the saw blade to cut out the flesh on my index finger almost to the bone, leaving nothing left to be stitched. You cleansed my profusely bleeding finger, then proceeded to pack it into cayenne pepper, covering the entire wound. I was rather skeptical of this procedure, but it worked! The bleeding stopped and the pain iterally had vanished by dinner time, without " painkillers " ! The next day you instructed me to cleanse the wound and apply calendula ointment and tea tree oil twice a day. In wonderment I observed my finger heal rapidly from hour to hour. It was miraculous! Anyway, to make a long story short After several weeks my finger was healed without any infection. I still have a minimal " dent " where the flesh was sawed out, but I have full use of my finger, no nerve damage etc. Your quick certainty on how to treat such an injury effectively was quite impressive and confidence inspiring. THANK YOU FOR A MIRACLE! Warmest Regards, Inga B. Krogmann, THE KROGMANN GROUP, Fine Art & Custom Picture Framing, 629 Terminal Way, Unit #2 Costa Mesa,CA 92627 Phone: 714/548-9780 FAX: 714/548-9764 What Inga didn't mention in the letter was that one of her associates did the exact same thing a week later -- only he had insurance and was given emergency medical care at a hospital, where he received a skin graft from his hip to cover the tip of his finger. Now, more than two years later, he still experiences pain and an uncomfortable tingling, and is missing the top portion of his finger. If he had not had insurance, Inga might have advised him to pack his finger in cayenne. I believe the cayenne is what encouraged the flesh to grow back into place. Hey, if cayenne can do it for a heart, why not a finger? Cayenne Promotes Live-Tissue Regrowth You say you didn't know cayenne can promote live tissue regrowth? Let me pass on an old story, well known by heavy-duty cayenne lovers, that has been repeated in a number of publications. A team of research doctors put some live heart tissue into a sterile beaker filled with distilled water, and fed it nothing but cayenne pepper. All they did was clean off the sediment periodically, add distilled water to compensate for natural evaporation -- and trim it every few days. It grew continuously. Having no control glands (pituitary and pineal glands), the tissue just continued growing rapidly. The doctors and their associates kept the heart tissue alive for seventeen years before destroying it so they could do other, unrelated research work on it. Now, I've never done that type of research, but watching a finger grow its tip back was pretty impressive to me. But Wait, There's More... At BASTIS Foundation, we see many cardiovascular patients who have had little success maintaining decent quality of life with the various types of allopathic drugs and surgery. Most, in fact, report feeling worse and come to us as a last resort. Some have been on so many medications that they could barely walk; their organs were threatening to shut down or were in the process of doing so. Seventy-six when he came to us, Moe had been taking coumadin for three years. Coumadin -- which is literally used as rat poison -- is not supposed to be taken for more than six weeks at a time because it is so toxic. It can thin the blood to the point of fatal hemorrhage after the slightest bruise or fall. Oops... Moe wanted to get off the medication, but his doctor told him he'd have to remain on it for life to avoid a stroke. He was scared -- who wouldn't be? But he was also scared of his liver having to filter this toxic drug for so long. Asked my opinion, I had to be honest with him: I, too, was scared . . . of killing him. I didn't want to be responsible for his getting off a medication and dying of a stroke (and it being my fault). But I also didn't want to see him bleed to death because of a simple cut or bruise. Ultimately, I had more faith in the healing capability of nature's gifts than in the intimidation of a medical doctor and a man-made poison, so we started the weaning process. I intended to wean Moe off the coumadin over a six-week period, gradually increasing his intake of a cayenne formula that also included hawthorne berries and other herbs that support the cardiovascular system. He, however, was anxious to speed up the process and, after three weeks, when I thought we were halfway there, revealed that he had stopped the coumadin several days earlier. He was taking only my formula, and claimed he felt better than he had in many years. At his next appointment, Moe's cardiologist screamed at him for recklessly putting his faith in some " worthless herbal formula, " predicting a possible stroke at any moment. With his limited knowledge of natural medicine, he ordered Moe to restart the coumadin immediately, and double the dose for a week to correct this potentially deadly situation. He also took a blood sample, so the following week he could show Moe the damage he had foolishly done and scare him into submission. Now thoroughly confused, Moe asked me what to do. I asked how he felt.... " better than in many years, " was the answer. He was breathing, walking and sleeping better; had increased energy, no more leg cramps, and felt just plain good all over. Deciding to trust my own judgment and praying that I was doing the right thing, I advised him to keep taking the cayenne formula; that if he felt uncomfortable about it, he could always go back to the coumadin. That was on a Thursday, and the following Tuesday, Moe's cardiologist called with blood results so good that Moe was to stop taking the coumadin altogether. The doctor didn't understand how he could be doing so well on just the herbs, but told him to keep it up. To Moe's cardiologist I would like to say congratulations and bless you for keeping an open mind. We all have something to learn from each other. Another Personal Episode My whole family was terrified when a beloved friend started having severe headaches and slurring of speech. After an MRI inconclusively indicated he may have had either a stroke or a brain tumor, a very intimidating neurosurgeon called us to the emergency room to let us know he wanted to admit his patient immediately so an oncological team could drill into the cerebellum to relieve the pressure. If there was indeed a tumor, they would remove it, even before verifying whether or not it was malignant. Asked my opinion, I thought the doctor was rushing into a dangerous, invasive procedure without any certain diagnosis. And if anything went wrong, this precious man could be rendered a vegetable, if he survived the surgery. His family was terrified, but had to leave the decision to their very strong-minded father, who told the doctor that he was going home to sleep in his own bed next to his wife. He then told us (after the doctor had stormed out) that he was ready to start the intensive program that he knew I would design for him. That was June, 2000. It is now March 2001, his headaches are long gone, his speech is fine, his color is great and he certainly doesn't look his age. He has been taking " shooters " of cayenne faithfully for the last nine months, along with several other nutritional supplements. Last month, his live-blood-cell analysis showed " perfect " blood .... very active white blood-cell activity with absolutely no more clotting. He never took any of the prescribed drugs, nor did he have surgery. Several allopathic doctors I have consulted strongly felt that the invasive procedure initially suggested would probably have killed him. And The Stories Just Keep Coming... More than one of my clients has suffered from Ménière's disease, which involves hemorrhaging of the small, delicate parts of the inner ear. There is usually an imbalance of fluid and pressure in the inner ear, causing intermittent attacks of dizziness, nausea, and spinning vertigo. With these clients, I immediately recommend eliminating all forms of toxic foods -- inorganic salts, refined sugars, processed foods and beverages, dairy foods, and fatty meats -- and adding some form of cayenne pepper to their diet, preferably by tincture on the tongue rather than in capsules, which have to go through the digestive tract. I have had reports of the vertigo stopping within a few short minutes after one dose of approximately one teaspoon cayenne tincture in warm water. The vertigo usually does not return as long as the client continues taking a daily dose of cayenne pepper, unless the body's toxicity level increases again. There is significant evidence that allopathic medications contribute to developing Ménière's disease. When the body reaches saturation level from too many toxic drugs, its " gyrocompass " fails, leading the patient to stagger and fall. Adding further medications to " help " the problem usually entails sedatives that barely allow the person to function at all. Cayenne, on the other hand, opens up the neural pathways rapidly, allowing a rush of oxygen to flow throughout the entire body, often stopping a vertigo attack in its tracks. One of my clients reported that she made her mother, who tends to have Ménière's attacks, take one dropper of cayenne tincture, and within a few minutes her mom reported that her ears were burning, but she didn't have the attack she had expected that evening. Her daughter excitedly told her that her circulation was working, that the cayenne had reached exactly where it knew it had to reach -- where there was a blockage! Just An Everyday Miracle Those of you who have read my book I Have a Choice?! have also read the story of my editor Claudia Suzanne. Claudia has suffered from both Reynaud's disease and multiple sclerosis for many years. Her Reynaud's is severe enough that she experienced an aortal spasm several years ago. Today, Claudia takes cayenne in capsule form three times a day. When she has a Reynaud's attack, during which the blood vessels in her extremities spasm, she immediately pops two cayenne capsules along with a dose of Rescue Remedy and a capful of Arnica tablets. Within minutes, she's warm and functioning again. She has discovered that this combination also works very well whenever she has an MS flare-up or a headache. Her daughter has her own vascular/vertigo problems, but holds them at bay by taking cayenne every morning. Claudia doesn't like the heat produced by the tincture on the tongue. Although I feel she would benefit more from the tincture than capsules, obviously she is getting enough benefits that it allows her to keep functioning where she couldn't function before. Cayenne is a miracle herb that can save your life. Adding it to your other daily herbs and supplements will only enhance their effectiveness, as cayenne is synergistic in its action. Ginkgo biloba, for example, is well-known for helping with memory and other mental functions, but has been effective in only about 20% of the most serious cases. If the memory (or the life) of someone you love is slipping away, 20% is not acceptable. Add cayenne to the ginkgo biloba, however, and that effectiveness increases to 95%. As in all disease, memory loss is a side-effect from a blockage of blood to the affected area. No blood flow, no healing. I know if I were suffering from heart disease, I could, like millions of Americans, whip my heart with nitroglycerine or digitalis or some other drug, forcing it to beat rapidly to keep it going. But I'd rather feed it a good, full, natural meal, which cayenne does so well. Remember, most heart attacks are due to the heart being malnourished; it hasn't had a decent meal for so long, it's practically starved. Cayenne, when fed to the tongue directly in a warm liquid base (such as water), instantly opens and expands the very cells of the circulatory system, which instinctively distributes the cayenne where it is now needed....in this case, the heart. All of you should keep a bottle of either tinctured or powdered cayenne in your car, your bathroom cabinet, your kitchen, and in your purse or pocket. It may someday save your life, or that of a loved one... or perhaps a wonderful stranger.
