Guest guest
is making plans to introduce a premium service. This means not all groups would remain free. This wouldn't be horrible, except that it looks like they're talking about DOWNGRADING the FREE GROUPS where they have considerably less storage space than they do now. So FIGHT BACK!!! has a survey going on right now asking users what they would think about this premium service. Please take this survey and make it clear to that you do not want to pay for groups and that you don't think any features/storage space should be taken away from free . There is one place in the survey where asks you to write any features you would like to see groups have. Please use this space to tell them you're against premium groups. Here is the URL for the survey: <BLOCKED::http://sweepstakes./groupspremiumsurvey2> http://sweepstakes./groupspremiumsurvey2 http://pets.care2.com/ http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com " It is impossible to defeat an ignorant man in argument. This group's archives are HUGE, nearing 200MB by year's end. would want to charge at least $30 a month for this! FRANK: Perhaps this is a time to move over to Google Groups 2? http://www.google.com/googl/about.html You can do a bulk invite of the membership and move over within a day. I'm willing to help out in any way you need. David
Guest guest
I must have missed the $30 a month part. YIKES!! A million and more x 30 = a good repug business going for the owners. Too bad the workers can't benefit. And this just before the biggest election in a hundred yeas. People will try to pay. Damn them (not the peeps...the owners). Thanks for forwarding this as well. I see I missed a couple groups...at *least* a couple. Peace and good health, MaryKaye David Elfstrom <listbox wrote: DitziSis said: > is making plans to introduce a premium service. Guest guest
Consider shifting our group to Hotmail or Rediff or google etc. if the charge news comes correct. Guest guest
Some others here have alternative servers that they run themselves. Plus there's a nice web board out there that has a lot of good informatoin run by the same people. Allen
