Guest guest
.. It says.... Stress causes a rise in hormone cortisol and lowers the body's progresterone which is vital for a healthy pregnancy. Hmmm..... Now just think of what happens to a woman's chemistry when an SSRI is added to this mix !!! under the guise/pretense that it is a cure-all for stress. Sheesh. Just me... " STRESS CAUSES MISCARRIAGES " Nov 11 2004 http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/allnews/tm_objectid=14858438%26method=full%2 6si teid=50143%26headline=stress%2dcauses%2dmiscarriages-name_page.html By Lorraine Fisher TOO much stress can cause mums to miscarry, scientists admitted for the first time yesterday. Researchers found stress causes a rise in the hormone cortisol. It lowers the body's progesterone - vital for a healthy pregnancy - causing the immune system to reject the foetus and the mother to miscarry. Until now doctors said stress wasn't a factor, blaming it on health problems in the mum or abnormal foetuses. Researcher Petra Arck, of the University of Berlin, monitored the pregnancies of 864 women using blood samples and tests for stress. She found 55 who miscarried felt under more pressure than the others, and had lower progesterone levels. Tests on pregnant mice subjected to loud noises also caused a hormone imbalance and they rejected the foetus. Dr Arck said increasing progesterone may counter the affects, adding: " We can clearly say stress has a major impact on pregnancy. " ======= ======= .. ..
