Organic Foods -- Whole Foods Market

Hi all,

Until September, I was a rep for 60 organic food companies and I

serviced every health food store in AZ and NV. I've been in the

Natural Products Industry for many years in the retail, wholesale and

manufacturing sectors, and have certainly seen a lot of dramatic

changes in organic foods. In January of 2004, Entrepreneur Magazine

listed organic foods as one of the top 10 fastest growing industries

in America.

Although Whole Foods tends to be spendy, shopping there can take the

guesswork out of choosing quality organic foods.

Every item on their shelves goes through a very restrictive and time

consuming screening process before it is approved. If a product isn't

clean, you won't find it for sale at Whole Foods.

All the best,

Michelle

I was amazed to see a bottle of Cottonseed oil on our local Whole Foods

shelf, all is not well there- nor the big push in the bakery section of

using rapeseed- now morphed in to Can(ada)ola Oil, so I won't purchase andy

of the store lines of a lot of things because they must have made a whopping

good deal with the manufacturer on the stuff , 'cause it's about nearly in

all their store label products, if you love it that's great! I don't. NG
