Guest guest
ahoi, can anyone help me with finding some good painkillers for fibromyalgia? i currently take magnesium-malic acid which helps alot. i was taking the NSAID toradol which is used for moderately severe pain, and in the place of a narcotic, but apparently can no longer take it because of the damage it does to ones guts. i've looked up a few, and i thought that going with the " anti- inflammatory " would be the best way with the herbs. due to this list being very active, could any replies be sent to me via email: HerrKaleunU47[@] (course you gotta take out the brackets) also any essential oils, essences, and homeopathic aids you think would help please list as well. i've been doing work on all levels: spiritually/mentally/emotionally, etc and am starting to feel considerably better than i did earlier this month. thanks very much, herr kaleun
Guest guest
I've had great success with Burdock root tincture, 30-40 drops 3x daily in water. Chaparral tincture is probably even better. I've bought some of this too and will give it a try when my burdock tincture runs out. You may have difficulty finding chaparral in the U.S. because of a few people who went overboard with chaparral teas, having so much of it daily that they injured their liver. Burdock excels at the general myalgia that people with rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia. Its main claim to fame is being a blood purifier. Guest guest
Would this be good for bone and muscle pain as well? I'm the newby who just had a total hip replacement, is coming off narcotics after 15 yrs of pain, and still HAVING pain. I'd like a non-opioid, herbal reliever--plus something to help the stomach cramps etc associated with withdrawl from narcotics. Wondering if Burdock would help me as well. ? -Glenna - David Elfstrom HerrKaleunU47 ; Sunday, December 19, 2004 5:20 PM Re: herbal painkillers for fibromyalgia I've had great success with Burdock root tincture, 30-40 drops 3x daily in water. Guest guest
I don't think burdock would necessarily work for you (though you can always try). It seems to work on that general flu-like aches that I get in muscles when I have a flare-up. At 01:28 AM 12/22/2004, you wrote: >Would this be good for bone and muscle pain as well? Guest guest
Glenna, Have you used the homeopathic Arnica for your pain? Effective for swelling, bruising, pain and excellent pre/post surgery. No contraindications with medications, as there are with many herbs. Burdock is a great herb and is helpful for digestion (and so much more). There are also no contraindications with Burdock. Feel better!
