Guest guest
Baking soda to neutralize the acid being secreted in an abnormal amount in the form of hydrocloric acid for the purpose of digesting proteins sounds like a good symptomatic relief if the unknown etiology remisses while the symptoms are addressed with the baking soda. But this symptom can be a sign of more serious underlying medical condition which could be better addressed sooner better that later. It doesn't cost anything to call Gastroenterogists office to talk to the receptionist or nurse about the symptoms to glean whatever information you might luck out upon without taking the plunge into making an appointment. This way if the underlying etiology persist and exacerbates, you already have a better idea where you would want to go if there was a need for care when the time for researching which doctor you want to use is not as available in the state of a possible emergency or high level of pain requiring immediate attention. Thank you, Dr. Sandra Lance, D.C. ************************************************** Instead of tums or anything like that take a level tsp. of baking soda to a small glass of water and down it and be prepared to BURP...it is instant relief, also are you taking anykind of enzymes?
