[alfranken] " STARVING THE BEAST "

Conservatives are chomping on the bit to their goal of " STARVING THE

BEAST " which is their long term goal of eliminating all social

programs, and their method is to destabilize the solvency of the U.S.

by forcing huge federal deficits. As this debt load grows and the

world economy declares the U.S. will be bankrupt in X number of years,

and if it does NOT get it's financial house in order, at that point a

desperate nation will concede all social program lest the U.S. banking

system fail and the America goes broke. Should that occur any dollars

you have are useless because the U.S. will not be able to back them

up, investments will be lost, and chaos will rule even worse than

during the Great Depression. With financial chaos abound, social

chaos will follow until law and order breaks down.

The way to avert such financial chaos would be to terminate all social

programs. And with our backs against the wall this surely will be the

result, as it's been the conservative's goal for over 30 years. They

view social programs as " the beast " and the only way to tame the

" Beast " is to force America into an untenable position. They are

doing that now with Social Security.

This is NOT the form of government Thomas Jefferson invented, but we

DO have the " best " government money can buy.
