The secretary general of the Korean Han Medical Practitioners Association, Choi Bang-seop, said Tuesday the association will sue the Korean Association of Clinical Physicians for libel, civil, and criminal liabilities. <br> The Korean Association of Clinical Physicians launched a campaign at the beginning of the month warning patients of possible harmful effects from taking traditional Asian medicine. It distributed 11,000 posters to internal medicine clinics nationwide advising patients to consult a physician before taking traditional treatments which it says are linked to hepatitis, heart disease, nephropathy and stomach hemorrhage. The Korean Han Medical Practitioners Association earlier launched a 25,000-poster campaign promoting the benefits of Asian medicine in curing cold. The poster claims traditional medicine is safe and free from side effects. Children who are afraid of injections used in Western medical practice have nothing to fear from Eastern medicine, the poster says. url: http://english.chosun.com/w21data/html/news/200502/200502150018.html Copyright ©2003 DIGITAL CHOSUN All rights reserved.
