Guest guest
It musta been one hulluva cartoon for your boy to remember it and have it affect him for more than a couple of days. Out of all the violent cartoons they see it is not normal that they have it affect them intensely for a lengthy time period. ( ie. weeks plus) There is something psychological that is making him keep this engrained in his psyche for so long. If he does not show any other mild signs of OCD ( and you may or may not know it ) I suspect that eventually after months of this behavior you will hopefully recognize the need to have a good psychotherapist try and work through this fear with him. Hopefully that would be the only need he will have to work through and get over this. There are sliding scale therapists in most cities. In the meantime there are lot of OTC and herbal items for him to take, chamomile tea, gaba, lavender,,, tons of herbals that will help " calm him down " . I wish him well for having to live with any great fear robs him of life's enjoyment. regards, medusa - " handerson4388 " <handerson4388 Monday, February 12, 2007 8:13 PM baad anxiety > actually he saw a cartoon about breaking in the house.. and ever > since then he's been obsessed, and no he doesn't have OCD.. its just > an intense fear.. can anyone think of anything to give him to maybe > sooth his nerves? > > heather
