Guest guest
I was diagnosed with " Mixed Connective Tissue Disease " (a less serious form of connective tissue disease than lupus) in 1990. A LOT of progress on treating the symptoms has occurred since 1990. Lupus, typically, is no longer a death sentence. The challenge is (after finding the best treatment for you) is accepting the condition -- denial is very typical (ah, yes!) There are a lot of people that offer " cures " for lupus with various treatments -- what might work for one may not work for another - you also have to protect yourself from various scams. One theory that bears personal investigation is the " leaky gut " theory. But before trying various alternative stuff, make sure your family members first get themselves stabilized and feeling more confident. What symptoms are they now experiencing?
