Hi Leah,

Cranberry Juice. Sitting in the tub in warm water helps soothe

things. I wouldn't add too much to the water though. I use cotton

balls or something else soft to wipe down there for them and clean

the area really well every time she urinates. Soft, gentle wipes.

Hope she feels better soon,

mjd

A Mild tea of Uva Ursi and Juniper berries works well.

I have used this on myself in the past many times. For your 4 year

old, you may want to water down a bit as i am not sure of dose for

that age.

Seems to me i also remember someone saying not to use store bought

cranberry juice as it has very high sugar content. Instead they

mashed cranberries and added water. You might want to check the posts

for the last 2 weeks, there were at least 2 other cases of small

children with bladder or UTI.

Hi Leah:

Oops, I did not mean grocery store bought cranberry juice. I meant

real juice from cranberries or juice from the Organic store.

Regular grocery store juice is usually sugar water and that will

promote the infection.

If she is not having a lot of pain upon evacuation, I just give lots

of juice and distilled water to flush it out. I don't like giving

young children very many different things because the body is very

resilient. Does she drink milk? That will help promote bacteria

growth. All dairy will.

Of course, make sure her panties are dry and all cotton even if she

has to change them a few times a day. Naturally, have her wipe from

front to back.

I normally just do the juice, water and yogurt unless it is really

painful. Only then, do I step things up.

Hope she gets better soon,

mjd

In the realm of homeopathy, Cantharis is one of the most common cures. Either

200c, 5

pellets, once time in PM, again in AM. If you are not able to locate 200c

potency, get the 30c

and use 5 pellets twice per day until symptoms clear. Do this in conjuction

with taking Cran

Caps or drink real (tart) cranberry juice alternating with lots of water. If

symptoms persist,

see your doctor; you won't want the infection to travel upward to the kidneys.

Dandelion leaf and dandelion root plus golden seal and echinacea workd

well. You can take all the above in capsules. Drink unsweetened

cranberry juice and 8 ounces of water several times a day to flush it

out.

Wear only cotton underwear and wipe from front to back always. Epsom

salts baths will help with pain.

Another remedy is usnea and uva ursi.

Peace, Thyme

NutriBiotics GSE is an excellent natural antibiotic that works well for

UTI's. I prefer it over CS.

Drink pure cranberry juice (no added sweetener or juices) sweetened

with stevia.

Get a good cranberry juice that is 100% juice. If you’re like me and hate

the taste of cranberries, get cran-grape or some other mix that you like.

It doesn’t have to be 100% cranberry, but it should be 100% JUICE. Ocean

Spray has really good quality out there and I’m sure there’s others, just be

sure to read the label.

I’ve never used the pills or anything else, but have found good, expedient

relief from the juice.

I can't imagine having a UTI for 3 days....it's excruciating. I suppose

if it was improving all the time, that would be different, but if the CS

hadn't worked, it would have been the walk-in hospital center! I

actually think I might make the deadline. I'm feeling definitely

better. Well, I'm feeling pretty lousy, but the UTI is better. I'm

very impressed & thankful. = Joan

PS I'll report tomorrow....it ain't over till somebody or other sings
