Root Canal & Ibuprofen

I have to have a root canal.. My first one and it is schedualed for Monday. I

had a cavity filled

on 6/21/07 and it has turned in the worst way. Needless to say, I am in a lot

of pain. The

dentist told me I can take an obscene amount of ibuprofen per day.

 

My question is this: What can I do for my body during this trying time? I have

4 days to wait

for some relief and in the meantime I have to take ibuprofen as the pain is so

intense..

 

What should I do for my body once the procedure is done to clean all of this

stuff out of me??
