If you are "growing" this wheat grass in a tray with dirt and all, you should not be putting this in the fridge at all. You should have it in a window where it can get sun, and be watering it daily. Back to Basics makes a cheaper hand crank model of their wheat grass juicer which is excellent. Takes time but is well worth it. Should cost less than a hundred where the motor powered one costs about $700.

[herbal remedies] wheat grass question

I wanted to try wheatgrass, so ignorantly, I bought a small flat of it, measuring about 6x12 inches or so. (lol @ self!) So now I've got this small flat in the fridge and I'm wondering exactly what to do with it. I've found that it's OK raw, like in salad, but VERY hard to chew. I don't yet have a juicer (but I WILL be getting one! hopefully soon). Trying to find various ways of preparing it. Any ideas? <still giggling @ self>Thanks, all :)PS: Does anyone know how long this stuff would actually keep in the fridge?
