Guest guest
I'll have to check with Doc.. not sure... but in the meantime here is something that might help also... just found this in my "stuff" Nausea This is also known as morning sickness, but can strike at anytime of the day. These symptoms of nausea and vomiting generally go away by the end of the first three months. Things that irritate the condition: low blood sugar, low blood pressure, hormonal changes, emotional ambivalence, deficiency of vitamin B6 and iron, or excessive amounts of grease or certain spices. Vomiting that is excessive needs medical attention. Suggestions: Deep breathing may help, as well as relaxation exercises A protein snack before bed will help low blood sugar in the morning Get up slowly out of bed Take a walk everyday Sea bands on both wrists for acupressure points Anise, dried peach tree leaves, fennel seed, red raspberry or ginger teas A teaspoon of cider vinegar in a cup of warm water Infusion of ginger root Smelling ground ginger Increase iron rich foods in your diet Ipecacuana 6X three times daily for 5 days Nux Vomica 6X Slippery Elm tablets, two before each meal Aromatherapy: lavender, rose, or chamomile for a massage oil Suzimercandcraig <clydeo wrote: Thanks,I haven't been able to find much yet.Is the nerve sedative safe for pregnancy. Guest guest
I think DHA, found in fish oil, is improtant, for both mother and baby. Depletion can have bad results for both.. Apparently Iron, vitamin B complex vitamins, Folic acid, etc., are important too. I also saw wild yam suggested to help with hormonal changes.. Here are some sites I found by searching Google, I hope it helps.. http://www.pregnancy-info.net/herbal_supplements.htmlhttp:// www.herbshop.com/pregnant.htm http://www.mercola.com/2002/mar/9/fish.htm http://www.border-tv.com/news/publish/article_315.shtml Morning Sickness About 70% of women suffer nausea and vomiting in pregnancy. It typically strikes in the second month and lasts until 14 - 16 weeks, although some women suffer throughout. It is known as `morning' sickness, but any-time-of- the-day-or-night sickness is more accurate. The precise cause is unknown, although it's thought to be a result of hormonal changes. The surge in progesterone causes the stomach to empty more slowly, leading to a feeling of bloating, nausea and often heartburn. The emotional upheaval and exhaustion of early pregnancy aggravate the symptoms. Morning Sickness: Ways to beat it with diet: ? A cup of tea and a ginger nut biscuit may settle the stomach before you get out of bed. ? Ginger has long been used as a sickness remedy, so try replacing your coffee with ginger tea. ? Eat small frequent meals and avoid overfilling your stomach, which tends to aggravate the problem. ? Avoid triggers. If the smell of curry, coffee or a fry up makes you retch - ban them from your house! I hope your friend feels better..
