Guest guest
Hey, Doc, hope you don't mind but your post about ephedra inspired a letter to the editor and it was used!!!!!! The link is only good through today but I included the letter. All y'all are welcome to use it for your own local paper. I'm told they like the email submissions so they can cut and paste. It just might wake up a few sheople. The segment about tryptophan included the comment that the paper reported incorrectly that this is the first time the g'ment has taken a supplement off the market...they cut that. Heaven forbid the sheople should question what's reported in this newspaper. Anyone catch the pun? I LOVE puns. http://www.capecodonline.com/cctimes/edits/letts.htm Imperialistic U.S. took our ephedra Just great: Our benevolent imperialistic government has banned ephedra because a couple of athletes were too stupid to use it correctly. Some very good sources say these athletes were also drinking fluids with aspartame, a poison beyond anything ephedra could have done to them. News reports say ephedra has caused "as many as 100 deaths" which is one three-millionths of the American population. More than 250,000 people die each year from iatrogenic diseases - that is, those caused by medical doctors. The reports don't bother to mention over what period of time that has occurred - two years or 20 or 50 years. This is not the first nutritional supplement banned. Tryptophan, an amino acid, was taken off the market because one contaminated batch was imported from Japan. One batch, folks, and off the market it went. Better wake up, because next on the list could be your vitamin C or the echinacea that keeps those colds and the flu away. Guest guest
Dear Anna, Very good on ya for doing that, and I'm glad my post inspired this. The more we can do to fight this, the better. If this continues to happen, the rest of our herbs will fall one by one, or more likely two by two, or even faster. This is only the tip of the iceberg as far as their attack on us is concerned. We not only need to nip this one in the bud, but we need to declare out and out war on the FDA, the AMA, the Giant Pharmaceuticals, and especially the PSYCHS, to anhilate their monopoly on our health and well being. We not only need to stop them from taking away our existing freedoms, we need to regain the freedoms we've already lost such as the laws against Opium, L-Tryptophan, etc. It is time for the allopathic empire to come a tumbling down. Permanently!!! Am I on my soap box??? You betcha LOL ;o) Love, Doc PS.
