Guest guest
Hi Phyllis, What condition are your gallon jugs in? There are several ways to steralize them. Probably one of the easiest ways would be to use hydrogen peroxide and wash em out. Don't use the over the counter grocery store 3% junk though as it is loaded with chemicals to make it stable. Get some 30 - 35 % peroxide, fill you jugs with distilled water and add say 10 drops to each jug. Use only distilled water for this though. Another way might be to place the jugs in your oven and set it for critter meltdown and thoroughly heat your jugs for maybe 1/2 hour to an hour on 350 to 400 F. Best to not use bleach, ammonia. You don't want any residue left. Don Q. - ChinLdy herbal remedies Thursday, January 08, 2004 10:18 PM [herbal remedies] Sterilize gallon glass jugs Well, I finally purchased a Champion juicer. Any suggestions on how I can sterilize a couple of gallon glass jugs? I have no container large enough to accommodate sterilizing them on the stove. Any ideas greatly appreciated.
