Guest guest
Hi Rose, I'm not Doc... I would suggest that you listen to the tape and then call Doc.. But I do want to tell you there is hope... This can be overcome. I would suggest for now getting yourself some lobelia and mullein. You can make a tincture or decoction to start taking. Also, get the ingredients to make yourself some total tonic, and lemon egg...and echinacea... These are starts... Doc will have more to tell you, and more to add and do.. Once you listen to the tape DO call Doc.. Suzi Senior Moderator MesaRose <mesarose1 wrote: Hi Doc, I got your tape last week. At some point I may take you up on the free diagnosis. Or maybe I will now. I'm seeing a lung specialist who diagnosed a problem with my lungs last July. Guest guest
Dear Rose, Glad you got it OK. After you've listened to it a time or two, is the best time to ask me or other list members your questions. ;o)Love, Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington - MesaRose herbal remedies Sunday, January 25, 2004 11:42 AM Herbal Remedies - Re: Herbal Remedies Hi Doc, I got your tape last week. I joined this group to see if there are any natural remedies or other little tips I can use to battle interstitial lung disease. I'm dieing from hypersensitive pneumonitis. It was caused by pigeons, we think, as the antigens are running wild in my body. The killer is the fibrosis and I have about a third of my normal lung capacity. Every other test they've done comes back normal. That would be everything from blood pressure to cardiogram, etc. It's well advanced in my lungs and we'll find out tomorrow (at the appt.) if I have a fighting chance. I think the doc wants me on prednisone with an autoimmune something or other. They insisted I get flu and pneumonia shots this year but it was the first time ever. You would not believe the regimen of medication I'm on, plus breathing treatments. I use oxygen 24/7. I take two antidepressants, an anti-anxiety, two sleeping pills, small dose of estrogen, morphine, a muscle relaxer, calcium and phosphorus, and yesterday I added Vitamin E. My husband is going to get me some Vitamin C and a multivitaman. Any ideas on the multivitamin? We eat sparingly but well (a meal might consist of Tuna steaks, squash and rice). But I have a terrible yearning for sweets. I must confess I have smoked for 30 years but I'm gradually quitting. I use the patch and the gum. The gave me Wellbruten but it was too much for me to handle. Anyway ... I'm down to less than a half-pack a day, and I already KNOW I have to quit entirely. It is a tough habit to break. A little something about me: I have three children and two grandchildren. By occupation I am a reporter and editor but don't write much anymore. I follow the Olde religious path, so naturally, I wouldn't have done all this if I wasn't on my death bed (they gave me six weeks in July). I try to get out a little to socialize with friends but I tire very easily and one six-hour drive into the mountains last week layed me out for three days. I am 48 years old. Right now I'm hanging on for the sakes of my children and David and my mother. I don't want them to cry over me. I am crocheting scarves for my kids for Yule. The crocheting makes me feel useful. I'm also going to dive into scapbooking soon so I can preserve some of our memories as a family. I think I've said enough for my first "e" to Herbal Remedies. I hope to hear from you and members of the board at your convenience. Sincerely, Rose
Guest guest
Hi Rose :-) Welcome to the list. After listening to the tape, call Doc ASAP hon. He can help you. One herb I know you should look into is mullein. You need to start taking Total Nutrition and Total Tonic as per the recipes in the files. Doc can mix these up for you if you need. I know how tired you must be. Janet - MesaRose herbal remedies Sunday, January 25, 2004 10:42 AM Herbal Remedies - Re: Herbal Remedies Hi Doc, I got your tape last week.
