Guest guest
Hi Ken, Here are some ideas: Maintain a good diet. Stay AWAY from the sugar! Don't be afraid of the almighty carb! Complex carbs ARE a chief energy source, and 100% whole grains will NOT set off a self- destructive chain reaction of insulin shock, or whatever the pro- Atkins ppl claim. Stay AWAY from the refined carb ( " enriched " anything; anything bought in a grocery store that does NOT specifically say " whole grain " is probably refined). Don't eat just before bed. Your sleep will be crappy. Practice proper food combining (though not a much talked-about dietary school of thought yet, I started following food combining rules about a year ago and I've never felt better! Lost a bunch of weight without skipping a meal or counting a calorie and I GAINED lots of energy! Simply put, don't combine proteins and starches. Water-based veggies are good with anything except fruits, which should be eaten alone.) Supplements are good, but try to get nutrition from food first. Supplements should do exactly that--SUPPLEMENT. Foods will contain other necessary and synergistic compounds that let your body make the most of each nutrient. Supplements don't have these because they're isolated nutrients. Follow Doc's big 4-wk cleanse in the Files under Doc's folder. Ppl have followed this with magnificent results. Visit a good acupuncturist. You may have blockages in energy tunnels called meridians that run throughout your body. Acupuncture is VERY effective for ALL KINDS of disorders: depression, fatigue, and asthma just to name a tiny few. Visit a qualified massage therapist. Most ppl have toxins (metabolic wastes, accumulated toxins from environment or food additive sources, prescription drugs including antibiotics or antidepressants, over-the- counter medications, and much more) and these can store accumulate and situate themselves all over your body, namely in your tissues. Professional massage therapy helps to release those toxins into the system where the body can finally deal with them (ie get RID of them). Be sure to drink LOTS and LOTS of water after each massage and then get good sleep afterward. And of course, listen to the gurus like Suzi and others--they know what they're talking about!! Hope that helps, --Jeni Laura herbal remedies , " Shireen " <quiltsnmosaics> wrote: > Any suggestions as to what herbs/supplements to take? > thanks, Ken
