Guest guest
Hi Janet, I have similar concerns about my 9 yr old daughter on occassion. Here are some fruit ideas that have worked with her... She is more apt to eat fresh fruit in the morning than any other time of day. Especially strawberries, kiwi, grapes or cantalope. Try cutting them up as finger food and serve a mixed plate without silverware! Megan will eat apples or pears more often if I cut them up into slices rather than leaving them whole. Fresh squeezed juices, especially orange or apple, is usually very easy to get down her. Hope some of these help! Guest guest
Janet, Will he eat soups or stews? I have an 11YO with texture issues and i puree all kinds of veggies and add them to soups, stews, even chili. He even knows they are there, and just appreciates that he doesn't have to deal with the textures. ) HTH, WW - OK guys and gals. I need some ideas. Benjamin is my 7 year old. He is autistic, has a very slow digestive tract, and has texture issues. Ben eats a lot of food, his hunger seems to never be satiated. I am getting worried about him because he is focusing on grains and starchy foods. I can't seem to get him to eat any greens or fruits. As far as meat he will eat some chicken and fish. Now I use aloe vera to keep his bowels moving when needed and he gets his TN. Maybe I am just worried for nothing, but I would really love it if he would eat SOME fresh produce.
