Guest guest
Unless you are getting spirulina from Hawaii, it probably is contaminated... Many of the places it comes from is. Spirulina is one of the most concentrated, nutritious foods on this planet. It is the highest natural source of complete protein (75%). Use the only organically grown Spirulina in the world, from Hawaii. The high amount of sunshine there makes this Spirulina higher in Beta Carotene than any other. It is also a rich source of B-Vitamins. especially B-12. Grown using water pumped from 2000 feet deep in the ocean, this Spirulina is one of the richest sources of minerals also. Being one of the oldest types of algae, it has a soft cell wall for easy digestion and assimilation. theresa hook <hooked_on_travel wrote: I was told by my naturopath that spirulina in orange juice was THE cause of my miscarriage. I was taking 1 tsp. in orange juice every morning. At about 6 weeks, I miscarried and he said that Spirulina may have had some organic contaminants and that Spirulina does not have a lot of health benefits. Sprouted grains such as alfalfa, sprouted at home have much more benefits and have less toxins.I became pregnant again soon after and had a healthy, 10 lb. boy. Guest guest
Spirulina is safe during pregnancy. It should be in every pregnant woman's diet. It is wonderful after term and when you are breast feeding as well.
