Guest guest
Hi MJ, One large cabbage shall make approximately 1 gallon of cabbage juice, using distilled water of course or RO. A normal sized batch will last till it runs out. Depends on how much you drink how often. Personally, I drink it by itself. Why stop the carrot juice? If it is doing ya good stick with it. The juice can be frozen, yes. The cabbage, I am not so sure will stand up to the freezing without ruining it. Wonderful stuff to drink. I am actually considering doing a juice cleanse with it. Guest guest
Don.. with what are you juicing the cabbage. i run some through the juicer with the carrots and apples but it doesn't do too well because of the instability of the leaves compared to the sturdiness of the carrrots and apples. and the water... are you usig a blender with water to extract the juice? sounds like it would be a good idea..... i had a friend who claims the cabbage juice cured her ulcers and i believe her..i was thecone who recommended it to her after i had read a very good book on juices and had been using for a long time... but never did get all the cabage juice i wanted out of my current juicer.. <G> love.. granny lee - Don Quai herbal remedies : Re: Herbal Remedies - Question about Cabbage Juice Hi MJ,One large cabbage shall make approximately 1 gallon of cabbage juice, using distilled water of course or RO.A normal sized batch will last till it runs out. Guest guest
Hi Granny, Yes, mam, that is exactly what I am doing. Then I cover it and let it 'stew' for four days. Then I strain off the juice, bottle and refrigerate. The pulp gets eaten as is with a little garlic, olive oil and onion. Very good and all raw. Guest guest
He everyone, I just joined this group! This sounds very tasty, I love cabbage. One question: if mixed with a blender and left sit for days won't it rot? I'm clueless, I guess. Eating the pulp with garlic juice, olive oil, and onion sounds delicious! Guest guest
Hi Candace and welcome to the group. Place the blenderized cabbage and distilled water into a stainless steel or enameled pot and cover with plastic wrap and secure with a large rubber band or somesuch device. Sit in an area out of direct sun and at a decent consistent temp for four days. No, the cabbage will not rot. It will begin to ferment or make sauerkraut. Only you won't be using any salt. After day four strain off the liquid and eat the cabbage. Will put billions of friendly bacteria into your instestinal tract. Very good and cheap probiotic. Guest guest
I have a juice machine. I have never made cabbage juice with it. Never thought of it really. How would I go about making cabbage juice? When I make carrot juice I just run the carrot through the machine. Thanks. Guest guest
My juicer came with a tape and it said you can juice cabbage just like everything else; just run it through. It also said people have cured their ulcers in 2 days just by drinking cabbage juice. That, to me, is amazing! Guest guest
That's great! I got the juicer mainly for my toddler; to keep him healthy. I also give him echinacea (sneak it in his juice) Not so long ago my husband and I got a HORRIBLE case of the flu but my son didn't. The only one in the house not sick. Lucky little guy! Hmmmm me thinks maybe I should drink the juice and echinacea too! My husband found a cabbage the size of a basketball! I made a gallon of juice and it's safely tucked in the closet. I also made boiled cabbage and potatoes. I ended up having to use an 18-quart roaster because it was a lot of cabbage. I drained off the juice and will save it for soup stock. It's cooling now.I am so excited about all this because one of the "side effects" of the wonderful prescriptions has been a colon that is practically paralyzed. I refused the colostomy, but I contend with serious problems both in regularity and yeast infections. So, I was thrilled beyond belief to read the files about what cabbage juice is used for.I have made it in the juice extractor by cutting it in rectangles. I did not really care for it that way, so sometimes I add it to other juices. The point is (and this is HUGE!) I am starting to get some hope back. One never truly misses that until it's gone. Thanks for your help! and take care, mjd Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2. Guest guest
Here is what Doc says in the files on cabbage juice Cultured Cabbage JuiceCut up and put one whole cabbage in blender.Fill with water, and blend.Put in glass jar and cover with saran wrap and rubber bandPut in closet for 3 daysStrain and drink 3-4 cups a dayThis drink will heal an inflamed colon. colonize friendly bacteria ,(which anti-biotics kill along with the bad guys, leaving room for thebad guys to return.) and help the colon produce b vitamins. The results are usually noticable immediately. This is an excellent remedy and awesome at replacing friendly bacteria (much better, and cheaper than buying acidophilus at the store as it literally creates trillions of the good guys ;o) Mail - More reliable, more storage, less spam
Guest guest
Cabbage juice was the first thing I made after I joined this list. I had diarhea in the extreme, but have a reaction to milk products, so couldn't take yogurt for it. The cabbage juice works wonders!!! Of course, it makes your breath absolutely awful, but that's okay. Johnmjdavis108 <mjd_subs2 wrote: Hi Don Quai! Thanks so much! My husband found a cabbage the size of a basketball!
