Guest guest
This is what I do. I have a savings account online at ingdirect.com I have it set up so they take my monthly health insurance payment out of my checking account and put it into MY OWN account. On occasion I take some out to buy herbs, etc. just to thumb my nose at the former health insurance company. I have watched so many of my patients be literally defrauded by these companies that I will not give them anymore of my money on principle. I too have full auto coverage, that is still a concern. But I also have a bunch of cayenne pepper in the car too. And this brings me to the next level that you need to consider. You have to do things to keep yourself healthy and have things on hand if you should have an accident or get sick. Doc has a ‘first aid kit’ in the files of items that we should have ‘just in case’ something happens. Keep in mind too that if worse comes to worse, you can negotiate the price before or after the service is provided. Well, around here that can be done. Dunno about other parts of this country. With a pregnancy if you’re healthy, there should be no problems. A good midwife hopefully is available. The thought of going into a hospital these days gives me the heeby jeebies. BUT, all that said, you have to do the work of staying healthy. If you don’t, well, that’s what the medicos are there for!!! <<<<Or if you are good about not touching nest eggs. start an account specifically for that sort of emergency and have the added advantage of earning the interest!>>
