Guest guest
Broadband providers want to limit your access to Internet-based services that compete with their own. Don't let the term "Internet neutrality" fool you. In the current battle over the Internet, the outcomes will be anything but "neutral" for Internet users if broadband providers get their way. Companies like Comcast and AT & T have been lobbying Congress for legal permission to slow or block your access to the Web and its services. Say no! So-called Internet neutrality would actually make it harder for bloggers, start-ups (like Care2), alternative news sources, and even people like you and me, to share and access information online. Take action! Go to: http://go.care2.com/e/kPG/K4/GDHk Thankfully, amidst panic and outrage had by Internet users, Congressman Ed Markey (D-MA) has introduced a bill that would thwart the efforts of broadband providers. The Markey bill would make it illegal for Internet providers to hinder, degrade, or tamper with users access the Web and it's offerings. We must get this bill passed to keep the Internet free and open. If you care about the Internet, please take a moment now to tell your representatives why they should vote to keep access to the web on a level playing field! Once you've taken action, forward the petition to your friends and family for an even greater impact:http://go.care2.com/e/kPh/K4/GDHk Thanks from all of us at Care2 for helping to protect the Net.Lauren Alvarez,Care2 and ThePetitionSite Team
