Guest guest Posted May 25, 2006 Report Share Posted May 25, 2006 Homoeo physicians to meet in June Special Correspondent There will be an open session during which senior physicians enlighten delegates Convention to be held on June 3 and 4 IIHP elections will be held on the occasion VISAKHAPATNAM: The 11th State convention of the Indian Institute of Homoeopathic Physicians (IIHP) will be held here on June 3 and 4. Announcing this at a media conference, president of the IIHP local chapter Moturi Sri Ramakrishna said top homoeo physicians Praful Barvalia from Mumbai, Subhash Singh and Mahendra Singh from Kolkata, and others would attend the two-day convention. "Homoeopathy has been successful in preventing diseases like chikan gunya and encephalitis and is fast becoming popular,'' he said. Thyroid disorders He said that Dr. Barvalia would speak on thyroid disorders and Dr. Mahendra Singh on `Standardisation of homoeopathic literature'. There would also an open session during which senior physicians would enlighten the delegates on cirrhosis of liver, emergencies, HIV-AIDS and homoeo approach, management of acute fevers and migraine. Discussion on homoeopathy medicine, medical camps, upgradation of knowledge and other aspects would also be held. Organising secretary of the convention Raja Suresh said that IIHP represented only qualified physicians of homoeopathy and was striving to promote the school of medicine throughout the country. More than 500 homoeo physicians from all over the State would attend the convention at the AMCOSA Hall and the IIHP elections of the State unit would also be held on the occasion. A quiz programme would be conducted by secretary general of IIHP K.R.K. Prabhakara Murthy on June 4, he said. Secretary B. Tirupathi Rao and others spoke.
