The FDA is a failure as a watch dog. It takes the word of profit driven drug companies that THEY have done tests and are watching out for our health. This has been proven wrong REPEATEDLY. Now the FDA is under the gun again because of their failure to preserve human life. Someone should reorganize or DISBAND this government failure! Write your congressmen and senators.

Accept Speaker Pelosi's Challenge: Click below to Tell Congress to Protect the Lives and Health of Pregnant Women from RU-486!

Take Action Now! This CONSERVATIVE ALERT is a special message from RightMarch.com: ALERT: In 2003, 18-year-old Holly Patterson died from an RU-486 chemical induced abortion. Why? Because at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the initial trials of this abortion drug were rushed and the drug was lumped in and approved with drugs designed for life threatening illnesses such as cancer and AIDS. Why? Pregnancy is a natural process that a woman's body is designed to support and has never been classified as a life threatening illness. The FDA has failed to carry out its mission of ensuring RU-486 is a safe and effective abortion drug regimen. According to the FDA, it is "responsible for protecting the public health by assuring the safety, efficacy, and security of human and veterinary drugs, biological products, medical devices, our nation's food supply, cosmetics, and products that emit radiation." The FDA, thanks to the politicization of the abortion issue, failed. Holly Patterson paid the ultimate price for that failure. It's time to correct that failure. Thankfully, Rep. Roscoe Bartlett (R-MD) has re-introduced H.R. 63, the "RU-486 Suspension and Review Act" (also known as "Holly's Law"), to suspend FDA approval of the drug and send it back for review in light of its link to the deaths of five American women and serious injuries to more than 840. If a review finds that the FDA violated its own rules, the suspension of RU-486 would be indefinite. Congress needs to finally pass this much-needed protective legislation -- and WE need to make them do it. TAKE ACTION: Without this call for responsible review, we continue to expose women to the potential of needless injury or possible death as a result of RU-486. Nancy Pelosi has issued a challenge to make this Congress "the Congress for women and children." Let's accept that challenge by protecting the lives and health of pregnant women from the proven life-threatening drug RU-486. Click below NOW to send a FREE message to your Congressman, telling him to SUPPORT H.R. 63 ("Holly's Law"): http://capwiz.com/sicminc/issues/alert/?alertid=9294316 & type=CO NOTE: Be sure to send this Alert to EVERYONE you know who wants to help tell Congress to suspend the FDA approval of RU-486. Thank you!
