Guest guest
It is my belief, that with a good quality vitamin regime, and a good quality form of antioxidants, on a daily basis, we can fight almost any disease/chronic illness and be able to fight the superbugs/viruses that are circulating out there today. A proper diet rich in antioxidants, vitamin C, B vitamins, EFA's is great BUT we can't get what we need from food anymore. Supplementation is something everyone should and CAN be doing to keep their health in check. Just be sure they are of quality because so much out there is just junk with money down the drain. Find a company that cares about your wellbeing and purchase from them. Don't rely on grocery/drug store brands to cut it. Vanessa
Guest guest
Vanessa, I agree in principle, but even with adequate nutrition, detoxification and antioxidant measures, three factors conspire to kill you long before you need it, and these factors can be addressed. Growth hormone release drops, and this prevents repair from keeping abreast of damage until we wither and die. HGH maintenance lends size and strength to the thymus gland, the seat of the immune response, and it's also used in white blood cell creation. The only anti-clotting enzyme plasmin drops, resulting in organ fibrosis, the leading cause of organ failure, and blood coagulation and clotting. The master antioxidant glutathione production drops too. It's a factor in energy production and detoxification; glutathione is low, infection is stimulated too, so this is also a crucial consideration. We can maintain a degree of youthful resilience by keeping the HGH levels, glutathione levels and plasmin levels up, in addition to nutrition and detox. After years of consulting I find that there are many drug store and supermarket supplements that are adequate or very good. I mean, supplements are surely important but I wouldn't go ahead and blame low quality supplements, if indeed they are that, for not extending your health. It's more likely to be an incomplete program that undermines your best intentions; at least that's what I see in practice. In my case as a consultant the people trust me for my information and the brand is of less, but not trivial, consequence. This sort of conforms to your " buy from people you trust " approach although I have to tell you I send people to the supermarket, drug store and health shop for the bulk of their supplements.
