Guest guest
I've come up with some basic and simple practices that can be done daily to enhance one's health. I'm curious as to what you think. 1) Relaxing - Even in the middle of an everyday task, taking a moment to stop and relax is vital in keeping you grounded, focused, and calm. It is clear that people in general get stressed and that this stress eventually builds up in the form of headaches, illness, and other unwanted occurances. Putting everything into perspective, one usually finds that, in this exact moment, there is nothing too threatening or too horrible for one to be experiencing so much stress. Realize that everything is okay, even in the middle of work or an unpleasant task, and take just a moment or two to relax. Relax your muscles, relax your breathing, relax your rampant thought processes. Whatever you may be doing will gain a new level of lightness and ease, while you, yourself, will experience a sharper focus and a new perspective. 2) Drink lots of water - Drinking plenty of fluids is an obvious health benefit--it clears out toxins and hydrates your body, among other things--but it is surprising how one can easily forget to drink water! It's so easy and so beneficial! In my case, if I happen upon a few pieces of sugary candy and happen to have an appetite for them, I usually end up with a pimple or two on my face the next day. I eventually came to the realization that whatever was in the candy had no other way to get out of my body than through a zit! This applies to all things, for the urinary tract is an effective channel of elimination, especially when you intake enough water. Generally, when your urine is clear, it is a sign you are taking in enough H2O, meaning your body has a quick route through which to send unwanted things. 3) Sitting in silence - Like taking a moment to relax during your everday tasks, putting aside time to sit in silence is a powerfully cleansing practice that can easily be utilized daily. Ten to fifteen minutes will suffice, though it is natural to go for longer periods with practice. Though very similar to meditation, " sitting in silence " is different--meditation, as it is known by non- practitioners, is considered a process in which to achieve a particular goal: to focus intently upon a single object or to completely clear one's mind of everything. Sitting in silence is the opposite. There is no goal, there is nothing you must do or achieve. You must simply be. This is deeply rewarding, cleansing, and refreshing. Sitting in a chair or on a cushion comfortably is advised, as is closing one's eyes. Instead of trying to clear your mind or focus on an object or image, simply relax and accept whatever thoughts come into your mind, whatever emotions you feel--honor them and feel them fully but then let them dissolve. There is no goal-- simply be. These are only a few of a list of techniques that I use daily to sustain my excellent health. Do you think they'd be effective for you? Do you practice any of these already?
Guest guest
Wash your hands. Each time you go into public you touch things, and when you come back to your car you should have a rag drenched in 90% alcohol to wipe down your hands with. Be esp careful of any environment where there are children: say a library or school.
Guest guest
One of the most important things is wash your hands after using the toilet. It is shocking to me how many people don't do this. Denny , JazziDJess wrote: > > Wash your hands. I notice my usage of Isopropyl 90 percent alcohol tends to dry fingertips for a short time, in Winter. But then again, it's a hugely good trade off for having NO colds or flu's for 20 years time. My liver enzymes testing perfectly normal, I also take a daily MilkThistle capsule for liver. ..
Guest guest
Hi i suport hand wasing . As for alcohol washing. There is a concern about liver toxicity; any alcohol but ethyl is a concern. I, as an AFib sufferer has to avoid even ethyl. If you work with the drug addicted population EMT etc. this may be reasonable, otherwise good luck at hoping you can avoid all viruses or bacteria. I am especially concerned about antibacterial soap etc. which stengthen BAD bacteria by exposing them to non leathal doeses . this sort of treatment should be restricted to th OR where the risks justify the use of these products . Lets not suck into the J & J propaganda. it s very dificult tot avoid this stuff if you shop mainstream stores! Billy , JazziDJess wrote: > > Wash your hands.
