Guest guest
Wishing You a Healthy Mardi Gras/Pancake Day I just recently learned that Mardi Gras is also called Pancake Day. Rather clever really- how else to use up all the rich foods before lent? So in that spirit- here is the link to a wonderful recipe site where you can research healthy pancake ideas. If your like me and like to cook from scratch so you know exactly what you are eating- the site is a blessing. And whether you dig no fat recipes, avoid sugar like the plague or want to include more healthy ingredients like: oats, bran, flax seed or fruit etc. you can find something that works for you. And remember a pancake does not have to be sweet- try walking on the wild side and go savory instead. Or skip the pancake all together and go international with a Beligan Waffle, a French Crepe or a Yiddish Blintz. Enjoy, Misty L.
