Guest guest
Chakra Balancing Exercise (I'm not sure where this one came from, but it might be good) (Source Unknown) both forwarded and used w/permission by Cerridwen Moonsong Either sit in a comfortable position, or if possible lie on the ground/floor with your back against the earth. (If you need, you can put a pillow behind your knees- I find this helps me to be able to relax more fully.) Close your eyes and concentrate on your breathing. Allow yourself to relax, feeling your body fully. Center yourself, and ground. Connect with the earth, and know that all that energy is there, waiting for you to use it. Begin with the first chakra, the red chakra. This chakra is located at the base of your spine, and it is your grounding chakra. It is your root, which is where all your instincts come from. See the red, notice if it has any dark flecks or is muddy. Visualize it burning bright red, and all the mud and flecks of dirt being burned away, until the color is clear. Connect with the root as it is once it is clear, feel it, and then while it still glows brightly, move on to the next chakra. Your second chakra is the orange chakra, the sex chakra. This chakra is located for women at the mons Venus, for men it is connected to their testicles. This is where your sexuality originates, but it also has connections to your creative energy and reproductive energy. Visualize it as a bright orange ball or cone, and again, clear it of any muddiness or dirt that is connected to it. Feel your sensuality and creative juices flowing as you connect with it once it is clear. Once it is burning brightly, see again your first chakra red, then the orange, and now move on to the third chakra. This is the yellow chakra, the chakra of 'self.' It is located at your solar plexus, right below your ribcage. This is the chakra of your identity, self-confidence, and self-image. It is often the chakra most in need of balance, because far too many of us identify ourselves only by how others see us. Visualize it as a bright yellow ball- your own personal sun- and allow you to reconnect with yourself as you cleanse this chakra of any 'dirt' or muddiness in it. Once it is burning brightly, check again to make sure your first and second chakras are still glowing brightly, and pass over the yellow, and move on to the next chakra. Your fourth chakra is the heart chakra. This is your green chakra, and it is concerned with love, circulation, and your immune system. This is the chakra where your relationships and your connection with other people can cause blockage. Visualize a glowing green ball or cone, and make it shine clearly, with no dark flecks or muddy tones. Allow yourself to feel the love that exists cleanly, with no jealousy or doubt, and this chakra will glow clearly. Once it is glowing brightly, again go through the others making sure they still glow, and move on to the throat chakra. The fifth chakra, the throat chakra is blue. This chakra is concerned with your voice, and your confidence in speaking or expressing yourself. Communication problems will cause a blockage in this chakra. Many people, when opening this chakra, will hum, or sing. Do what feels right for you while visualizing a glowing blue ball or cone around your throat. Cleanse it of darkness or muddy tones, and be unafraid to express yourself! Once it is glowing brightly, again go through the others, and move on to the next chakra. The sixth chakra is the chakra of the third eye. This chakra is indigo, and it is connected with your spirituality and 'inner vision.' Blockages in this chakra indicate that you are not listening to your intuition, or are not spending enough time communing with your chosen deity. Visualize a bright indigo light between your eyes, slightly above. If you are comfortable, open your third eye, and feel yourself acknowledging your own intuition, listening to it again. Cleanse the light of any muddy or dark spots, and when it is glowing brightly and clearly, again return to the base chakra and work up, until you are ready to move on to the last chakra. The seventh chakra is the crown chakra, located at the top of your head. Its color is either violet or white, and as the red chakra is your root, this chakra is your treetop, your connection to the soul. Visualize the violet light glowing clearly, and often once it is cleansed, it will turn into a white glow. Once it is cleansed, return to the root chakra, and go through the colors. If any have shown regression, make a note to pay attention to that particular part of your life, to resolve any issues that are blocking you. Once your chakras are balanced, you may feel light, emotional, or triumphant. Allow yourself to feel these emotions, do not self-censor. Remain at rest, basking in the glow of your balanced chakras for a while. Once you feel ready to return to the world, center again, and ground, and then drain off any excess energy into the ground. If you do not, this excess energy can build up and cause restlessness or sleeplessness. Finally, visualize the glowing lights seeping back into your body, cleansed and open, but protected. Begin with your crown chakra and work down. I recommend a nice hot bath or shower after, and I am usually so relaxed afterwards I just want to go to bed. Do what feels right for you! Energy Healing Meditation In this simple healing meditation, you send the powerful healing Life Force directly to the area in need of help. This Life Force is the energy behind all healing. Wherever this energy is flowing and in balance, there is health and well being. Wherever this energy is blocked or out of balance, illness manifests. Steps of Energy Healing Meditation 1. Sit reasonably straight and close your eyes. 2. Breath slowly, as silently as possible. 3. As you inhale, feel yourself breathing the healing Life Force in through your solar plexus. Picture this Life Force as a very refined, light energy. 4. As you exhale, gently direct this light energy to the afflicted area. If there is not a specific ailing area, disperse this light energy throughout your body as you exhale. 5. Continue until you feel the area has received enough Life Force. “Fortunately art is a community effort - a small but select community living in a spiritualized world endeavoring to interpret the wars and the solitudes of the flesh.” -Allen Ginsberg Everything Natural http://health./ Everything Magick EverythingMagick/ The Pagan Housewife http://paganhousewife.blogspot.com/ Tales of a DIY Queen http://talesofadiyqueen.blogspot.com The Frugal New Yorker http://thefrugalnewyorker.blogspot.com/
