Guest guest
IMHO many of the side effects of chemo are due to the rapid depletion of needed vitamins and minerals. Therefore, all supplements should be increased, not decreased. I had a platinum-based chemo recently, that was supposed to make me entirely deaf instead of merely extremely hearing-impaired. Revving up specific vitamins before and after chemo prevented this. If I'd only known, my hearing went down stepwise 11 years ago with monthly chemo. Later, I took Doxil, which causes severe side effects in the extremities; wheelchair, unable to use hands, extreme pain. I looked it up on the web, and it's B6. I took massive amounts, and had almost no problem, slight redness only. Outcomes for both chemos were within the predictable range. Hope this helps, Rhoda
