Guest guest
Hi group, I want to buy a Silver Puppy was wondering what model to purchase? I know nothing about measuring anything or using a laser to check out the size or particles, etc. I don't know PPM (parts per million) from Am/Pm lol I need a unit that does its thing and shuts off when finished with whatever extras it takes to make an excellent quality batch of CS. Thanks! MC
Guest guest
You don't need the laser to check it out. The silver puppy makes it right each time. The best one is the one with the magnetic stirrer. I bought a SP before Ode developed the self stirrer. As soon as he came out with the magnetic one I updated mine because everyone says stirring while the CS is making makes a better CS than unstirred. The first unit I bought was suppose to work on the thermal basis--meaning the light would make heat, heat rises, so as the heat rose it would stir up the water. But I never saw any movement in my CS water, so when the mag stirrer came out I got the update. Now my water does stir, and I believe it makes a better CS. Guest guest
The Silvergen 6 is automatic. You add a good distilled water, set the dial to desired PPM (but don't do it for more than 15ppm - button at 3 o'clock position) and it automatically stops when desired ppm is reached. Also when distilled water used is not good, a green light appears and the stirrer and motor stops production within a few minutes to an hour of operation. Production time is usually 4 to six hours depending on ppm you want. The higher, the longer. Melly
