Guest guest
Hello to everyone here -- I just joined this group because I am researching a non-orthodox protocol for helping my father to overcome his cancer. Last week he was diagnosed with Melanoma in the liver. This came after a month of tests and 2 biopsies. He was given a diagnosis of " 2-7 months to live " which was very effective in shocking and scaring him and all of us in the family. He has so far only visited an oncologist at UCLA medical center who gave him a very unappealing menu of clinical trial or chemo options, none of which have more than 10% response ratios. He was rejected for all trials due to his blood and liver results (I do not know the details of " why " this was) and the oncologist currently has him scheduled to begin treatment with oral Temozolomide as a " compassionate use treatment " . The terminology in the allopathic world is just incredible. I have been spending large amounts of time trying to research any alternative or supplemental treatments for him - yesterday I came across the Cancer Tutor website and their melanoma page (http://www.cancertutor.com/Other/Melanoma.html) which is how I found this group. I am very eager for any information or feedback from anyone who has is using his protocol of Chlorine Dioxide and the Sutherlandia product (if anyone is). I do not know of any direct evidence for either of these products being used for melanoma -- does anyone here have any experience with using any oleander preparation for metastatic melanoma? I am very intrigued about the statement from Mr. Isaacs's website that Oleander will both potentiate and help with the side effects of chemo. Again I ask for anyone who has any experience with this to please share it with me. I think it is a foregone conclusion that my father is going to start on the Temozolomide unless a better option is given (we have an appointment with a Dr. Morton at John Wayne medical center this week). Thus I am hoping to find a protocol that he will accept to use in addition to this treatment, and will not negatively interact with any of his allopathic treatments. If anyone has any further expertise or most importantly has any evidence or first-hand experience with either of these substances it would be extremely helpful in convincing both myself and my father that this may be helpful and also not dangerous (there is a lot of superficial info on the web pointing to the dangers of ingesting either CD or oleander that may dissuade him). In the meantime I will read the past posts in this group carefully and keep researching. I greatly appreciate all the help and thanks very much for listening. Personal email responses are also accepted and encouraged! -- God bless, Gary Dempster
