Guest guest
I don't post often but just a quick re-cap. I did the homemade oleander for a friend with the above cancer, treated with surgery, chemo and radiotherapy. Her oncologist has said that there is no further treatment available except maybe the odd trial chemo. Because she is on daily heparin (OS is not compatible with heparin products)we found a Dr who was willing to monitor her. After the first 3 weeks of OS at just 3 1/2 tsps. per day her CEA level had gone down 4 points to 14, everyone was very excited; however, 4 more weeks have passed and another CEA level has been done plus LFT's. The CEA has risen to 20 and her " gamma-glutamyl transferase level " GGT is over 100 (normal is about 40, though she has been running on about 80 because of past chemo). The Dr has told her to stop the oleander for the next 3 weeks and wants her to try the " sodium bicarb/maple syrup " regime. (This Dr does the IV sodium bicarb.) After the 3 weeks he will do more LFT's and if the GGT has come down he says he want to " hit the cancer hard " (his words), with the OS at 1 tbs. x 3 per day. My friend is not too happy with this idea but does not know what to do. My question is: does OS raise LFT's especially the GGT level? Tony, I have read your views on the sodium bicarb regime. Also, from what I have read, it is not good to jump from 1/2 tsp. to 1 tbs. of OS. Any comments or advice PLEASE!!!
Guest guest
HTML clipboard Thanks for the update. I have several observations. Upfront, I must state that I am not a doctor, and thus anything I say - as always - must be considered opinion and information, as I am not legally qualified in the eyes of the powers that be to give diagnosis or treat any medical condition. How a person acts on that information is entirely up to them. OK, having got that out of the way, here is what I think. First of all, I have to wonder why your friend was only on 3 1/2 teaspoons of oleander per day at the 7 week point? She should have long since worked her way up to the maximum amount of 1 tablespoon three times daily. If she were taking the Sutherlandia OPC, she should be working toward 3 capsules twice times daily or 15 ml of extract .Sutherlandia OPC capsules Start off by taking 1 capsule with breakfast for 2 days. Increase dosage to 1 capsule twice per day (2 caps total) with breakfast and lunch for a further 2 days. For more serious ailments increase dosage to 2 capsules twice per day (4 caps total) with breakfast and lunch for 1 month. If no improvement, increase dosage to 3 capsules twice per day (6 caps total) with breakfast and lunch for 2 months. Sutherlandia OPC (Liquid) Start off by taking 5ml (1 teaspoon) once per day during mealtime for 2 days. Increase dosage to 5 ml twice per day with meals for a further 2 days. Increase dosage to 5ml three times per day with meals for 1 month. If no improvement, increase dosage to 10ml three times per day for 2 months. If still no response, the dosage can be increased to 45ml per day (3 x 15ml)As you can see, your friend has been taking but a fraction of the maximum effective dose for oleander - though of course she should be monitored by her doctor due to the blood thinning medications (which might be adjusted downward if need be to accommodate the maximum therapeutic oleander dose.) I can easily see how oleander may well be having a positive effect against your friend's cancer, but the amount she is taking is far too small for her particular cancer and too small to help boost and repair her immune system from the damage that has surely been incurred due to the mainstream chemo and radiation.Secondly, I have to ask whether your friend is following my complete recommended anti-cancer protocol? It contains several other cancer fighting and immune boosting recommendations as well as advice on cleansing, detoxing, protecting and regenerating the liver. No one should rely on just one supplement to fight cancer - the best results are obtained from following a complete cancer fighting protocol and lifestyle. Now, when it comes to those liver markers (LFT and CEA), yes oleander or any effective cancer treatment that destroys cancer cells can cause them to rise because the dying cancer cells are releasing toxins that are carried by the blood stream to the liver - and her liver is already impaired to begin with. If you look at my anti-cancer protocol here in the files section (and which I updated just today), you will find measures to help cleanse, detox, protect and regenerate the liver. As hep-c fighters can tell you, oleander is wonderful for the liver - but while it is also fighting cancer, the dying cancer cells are going to impact the liver.I like intravenous sodium bicarbonate, but I fail to see how oral ingestion of baking soda and maple syrup will help liver function, though the baking soda part may help somewhat with the cellular oxygen in fighting cancer. The idea that baking soda will somehow survive the digestive system processes and make it to the sight of any cancer on a cellular level is patently absurd, in my opinion. And I am not at all comfortable with any treatment for cancer that includes increased sugar intake. My thoughts are that if your friend has not taken the maximum amount of oleander and not followed the entire protocol more closely, then it would not be the best idea to stop oleander and simply take oral baking soda! She might add some baking soda, or take the OxyGen product for more cellular oxygen, but if it were me I would not think of abandoning oleander at this point. If your friend follows the measure recommended for the liver and continues with the oleander at increasingly higher doses and incorporated more of the entire protocol, I believe there is a very good chance that she will see all of her markers come down.I would also suggest that she seriously consider the Sutherlandia OPC, since the home remedy can vary in potency due to any number of factors (soil, climate, time of year, etc.), while the OPC is made to very exact laboratory standards.Tony-- In oleander soup , "m59eister" <m59eister wrote:>> I don't post often but just a quick re-cap. Guest guest
Thanks Tony, my friend has decided to take the bicarb. on its own - no maple syrup; also she is going to take the S/OPC according to your instructions; she is also going to get some herbs to support her liver, and best of all, I think that she is going to join this group!!! oleander soup , " Tony " wrote: > > HTML clipboard Thanks for the update.
