Guest guest
Well, which ones do you recommend? I would really appreciate that info. Thanks, Janna -------------- Original message from Mike Golden <goldenmike86: -------------- I'm a chiropractor myself. When I graduated from chiro college in the 80s Standard Process already had a history of being promoted in chiropractic offices. Around that time it was discovered that they had problems with their formulations. Independent study determined that the amounts of nutrients in the product did not match the labels. Sometimes the formula contained no amount of the substance. Standard Process was not the only company to get caught this way. I'm pretty sure that the industry forced these companies to clean up their acts before the governmewould have to step in. As far as I know, Standard Process is presently quality controlled. Because of what happened at the time I avoided using their products, and continue that avoidance to this day. I assume present day Standard Process products are ok despite my avoidance of them. Do they have one kind that they sell to the public and one kind that they sell to chrio drs? I have not heard of that. I am not doubting that vitamin manufacturers do a lot of negative stuff. But, I really would like to know. Also, how can you tell that the liquid is a good quality and has the level that you need? Thanks for your input. Janna -------------- Original message from "Dr. Loretta Lanphier" <drlanphier (AT) oasisadvancedwellness (DOT) com>: -------------- I guess this might be a matter of opinion, but Standard Process vitamins are not necessarily the best unless you are a chiro or buy from a chiro. ;o) And GNC almost never has the best in supplements. There are many that are more food-grade and have little to no fillers/binders. Tablets almost always have more fillers/binders than a capsule or a liquid. A liquid B-complex would be the most bio-available. Just make sure to look at the “other ingredients.â€Be WellLoretta Standard Process is not the strongest unless you take a lot of it. They do happen to be some of the purest in the way that they are manufactured. GNC and some of the others are synthetic - which amount to the same thing as taking drugs to your body. The liver has to process them. Standard Process cataplex b is more bio avaiable. Just a thought. Janna ------------ -- Original message from Colleen <colleen102203@ >: ------------ -- If I were going to begin supplementing with a B complex, I would not get the "strongest" one available, but possibly B-50 from GNC and supplement twice a day. My body can only absorb what it can absorb at any one time. So taking more than you can absorb will only result in some very expensive, "stongest" urine. Something you may consider when taking B vits is that you NEED Omega acids to get them through the blood brain barrier. That means pick up some fish oil too. Guest guest
I don't endorse specific products. It would be unfair to claim I know the absolute best. There are too many to have tested them all. I will say what I use, though. In my practice I use products from Allergy Research and True Encapsulations. Both these lines are third party assayed by universities and I get regular reports via cdrom. I use some specialty products from Metagenics. For my own personal use I often use Now brand because of the great variety they offer. They are very reasonably priced and seem to be effective.Again, there are a lot of decent product lines out there and I encourage people to ask companies for documentation once you've picked a likely candidate.Mike"cr8iveart" <cr8iveartoleander soup Sent: Monday, October 13, 2008 5:15:15 PMRe: RE: B complex Well, which ones do you recommend?
