Guest guest
There's been earlier posts on Protective Qi (Wei Qi). This is the energy that circulates near the surface of the body and protects it against External Evil. When the Wei Qi is weak, the person is always catching colds and viruses and/or is extremely weather sensitive. If you or a loved one has this problem, one of the Strange Flow channels you may want to learn more about is the Yang Great Regulator Channel (Yang Wei Mo). " Thus the classics say 'when the Yang Wei Mo (Yang Regulator) is imbalanced the person suffers from colds and fevers,' while 'when the Yin Wei Mo (Yin Regulator) is diseased, the person suffers from heart pains. " (Acupressure Way of Health: Jin Shin Do by Iona Marsaa Teeguarden, p. 56) As Teeguarden points out, there can be other causes of heart pains, but the Yin Regulator is one to consider. Likewise, there can be other causes of weak resistence to External Evil, but the Yang Regulator is one of the things to consider and possibly use in healing to get resistence up. Herbs like astragalus will increase Protective Qi. The Triple Heater meridian also can play a role in increasing Protective Qi.
