Guest guest
I was looking over the TCM titles on amazon.com today, and ran across this title. The book is by Yan DeXin. TCM doctors long have looked at the Kidney as being implicated in aging. But Yan DeXin asks the question why does the Kidney become debilitated with age. He believes that the reason is a disharmony between Qi and Blood which results in Qi Stagnation and Blood Stasis. He writes that Blood Stasis tends to play a role in all chronic and enduring diseases. He also says that " Phlegm and Stasis have a common origin. " I find this interesting because one of the books I have - Comprehensive Management: Phlegm Fluid (Tan Yin) by Dr. C.S. Cheung - talks about a new approach to Phlegm problems of Dissolving Phlegm and Vitalizing Blood. Dr. Yan DeXin also talks about " boosting the Qi " in order to " transform Stasis. " This is a book that I definitely want eventually. The focus is aging & Blood Stasis, but it sounds like a lot of the imformation also may apply to younger people with debilitating and chronic illnesses that may you feel and act a lot older than you are. Guest guest
Thanks for sharing this book title with us. BTW, I'm thinking of getting the Wicke texts. But I'm going to wait until I'm back from my California trip. I'll be leaving in a little over a week and expect to be a bit more focused on business and such upon my return around April 22.
