Turns out I was off the mark. Since I'd only heard about the most difficult cases (which are what my friend deals with) I made the assumption that that was the whole scope of the condition. I have been corrected, that in fact, there is a whole range of severety, from very mild to totally detached. The lesson for me is not to be too quick to pass on heresay without knowing more about the topic, even if its heresay from an expert. Cheers, S.
