Guest guest
it seems to me the privacy issue is paramount for practitioners who are not involved in insurance issues. One question that pops into my head is this--i often send faxes to Kamwo for herbal prescriptions for patients. They pick them up off their fax machine and fill them, and the patient comes and gets the formula. I would imagine privacy issues come into play here. Does Kamwo and all its employees need to sign a confidentiality form? If so, where does the confidentiality form come from? Is there a standard one out there? Guest guest
I don't know the answer to your question. I thought I would add something about prescriptions. It would seem in western medicine that prescriptions would equal herbs and diet reccomendations in TCM. My mother was recently a victim of a bad prescription that sent her to the hospital with a colon infection. Western medicine has treated 'untreatable' and other diseases with drugs. The dosage for these medications have been large, multi tablet medication per day. Sometimes the dosage is too large on a daily basis and other problems relating to drying of organs happens. Powders are not always redily absorbed by the body and it takes alot of moisture to manage the chemicals and powders. TCM might prescribe different herbs, but these too need water to work properly. It seems that the medication or herb taken at the correct time for each persons metabolism would work the best. Even a small amount placed under the tounge can help heal. Ideally this is all you would need, and it is up to the patient sometimes to help in the healing process by seeing the doctor at the right time. TCM is best when used as preventative medicine, where only a few treatments might turn the tide of the disease. acugirlnyc wrote:it seems to me the privacy issue is paramount for practitioners who are not involved in insurance issues.
