Guest guest
This page suggests that you can use isopropyl alcohol instead of regular alcohol (ethanol). This is the first time I have seen isopropyl alcohol mentioned as an alternative. Does anyone have any opinions on this? Isopropyl alcohol is a cheaper than even cheap rice wine (never mind vodka). - " stuydaze " <stuydaze <Chinese Traditional Medicine > Tuesday, March 25, 2003 10:30 AM [Chinese Traditional Medicine] Another Di Da Jow > Just came across this link for an article on making your own Di > Da Jow on the East Earth Trade winds website: > > http://www.eastearthtrade.com/cgi-bin/catalog12/know_ditdajow > s?Y2R9k6aS;;

When it has cooled, I add an equal part of isopropyl and begin aging it for at least a few months---so its extracted with both water and alcohol. I've used isopropyl for a long time now. It works well and since it's for external use there is no problem. Jim Ramholz
