Guest guest
Hi :-) I had the same problem with my dog. He chewed himself obsessively, and it wasn't because of fleas. I changed his dry food to " solid gold " fish and rye and he stopped chewing himself. I am aware to the fact that some dogs allergic to corn. Pedigree has corn in their wet food too. There are other brands that don't have it. elizdettrey <Rabbitbrain wrote: I had a dog that chewed his toes red. The vet indicated that he must be allergic to fleas or grass. Well I kept him flea free as possible and didn't see much change, he even had a runny nose and I had to give him benadryl. I recently learned that I, myself, was sensitive to corn and sugar and felt better if I didn't eat these foods. So I though to look at my dogs dry food. It was mainly composed of corn. I changed his food to a rice and lamb formula and this stopped his chewing and sniffling. Corn doesn't digest entirely and can become a sourse of an irritant. Hope you can find this solution would work for you. It is absolutly distressing to watch an animal dig at themselves. Liz D. So far, so good (he ate it). A herbalist at the Chinese herbs shop near me had recommended doing a B.A.R.F. (bones and raw food) diet to some degree as well. As to herbs, the closest he said was, hmm, maybe reishi. Thank you (and others) who offered suggestions. I'll try the Solid Gold food, and will mix in some bones-and-raw-food items, will keep up the essential fatty acid supplement, and if it doesn't resolve in a couple months, move on to more esoteric things like feeding high- end reishi mushroom tea to my dog. I *think* that's the stuff that always makes me feel great, when I have it in a tonic tea.

I opened a new bag the other day and poured it out into the storage can and a beautifully dehydrated mouse came out. No more of that stuff for me. I quit buying it years ago because of occasional mold problems. Don
Guest guest
I think we can safely assume that meridians for mammals are similar to ours. Conception and governor vessels along the front and back and similar meridians like the forelegs are similar to our arms, and back legs like our legs. Massage along these lines and moxa are a possibility. Gateswood Quarterhorses <horses wrote:> Thank you (and others) who offered suggestions.
